It was the first time trying Beast and Bird as I was out that way for business. It was absolutely delicious and everything was loaded with flavor and large portions. Our server was excellent.

Came for their NYE event and will come back again, and again, and again. Literally EVERYTHING we ate was superb! Appetizers, prime rib, chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, dessert! You will NOT be disappointed here.

My husband and I got food poisioning from here. I was talking to my coworker and she said she got food poisoning from their food truck when they first opened. The mac and cheese is undercooked now but more in a cheese sauce now. They reheat food from the previous day.

We were back in town for Thanksgiving and I’m so happy we went here for dinner the night before! The drinks and food were phenomenal. We got the Smokey old fashioned, espresso martini, and whisky sour with the nachos on special and a few sandwiches. So special to have a place like this in Vinton!

We really, really wanted to love this place. We’d been wanting to get down to Vinton to try their Sunday brunch buffet since they started it. Three adults and one kid, one kids soda and an $8 tip was $85 which isn’t great but not horrible. We walked in at 11am and only two other tables on a Sunday morning seemed a bit sad. Food was good, our issue was they had small plates and while they served the food to you at the buffet, they didn’t give you much. A guy came around with a large pan of bacon and gave each person one piece. We assumed the bacon would end up on the buffet line, we even waited a bit, but no where to be found. They had sausage link, ham, pulled chicken, chicken and noodles, eggs, garlic mashed potatoes, cheesy potatoes, sheet pan pancakes and some fruit and dessert. We all left being a bit underwhelmed considering the $20 buffet price. Maybe we’ll try them for dinner some night, or a morning that they have more offerings. We were hoping to find a new favorite to add to our rotation, sadly we didn’t find it.

The brisket was good NOTgreat, but way to much fat on mine. The mac and cheese was so greasy I couldn't eat it, and the cornbread was NOT like cake or good. Everything was bland and no pop of flavor! I like things such as brisket sandwich w grilled onions and cheese. The options for food were seriously limited. My Dads sandwich had no coleslaw either. I want tender, savory, and flavor burst. Then we got home and three of us have been sick all day. The best thing was my wedge salad. Even then they burnt the bacon so badly it was gag worthy. I've never been served black bacon before. They didn't care one bit about throwing it on there. For over $160 it was very poor. My son did the drink card to try the beers on the wall and 3/4 was foam. We drove 1.5 hours. We will go to Dodgeville, Wisconsin next time to Bob's Bitchin BBQ. They never let us down! Home battered cheese balls, sweet potatoe fries, and a huge menu with tons of options.
Fantastic bbq and even better people. Great little bbq spot that packs a lot of flavor, wonderful drinks, and great staff. I cant get enough of this place.
