Walcott — world’s largest truck stop just outside of Davenport. Stopped for breakfast at the beginning of 2,600 mile Harley trip. Great way to start your day. HUGE breakfast, fair price point, tasty, and perfectly prepared. Crisp hash browns, thick bacon, chicken fried steak and sausage gravy top notch. Pancakes great. We didn’t do the buffet but it was huge. Knowledgeable staff well informed on what is gluten free and not. It’s what you’d expect from truck stop...
Had an excellent waitress, food selection was decent and tasted alright. Price was great for an all you can eat buffet at a truck stop. Totally worth it considering the other options at this location are all fast food and cost way more.
Got some pork chops. Oh my goodness, they were delicious. Cooked perfect. Waitress did an amazing job. Quick service and refill on time. Good place to park , shower , and have a good meal afterward , I wish all truck stops were like this.
