LOVE Northside Diner! The fam & I went for a Saturday lunch and it was fantastic! Love the variety of vegan choices, my husband enjoyed the Harmony Bowl while I had an incredibly tasty Smash Burger + bacon. It was all cooked perfectly and we fought over the sea shore fries lol Our 7 yr old declared the hotdog & Mac n cheese delicious and ate it all without complaint (+ she ate some fries so def kid approved choices!) My husband grew up in Washington. We visited to go to the Dutch Market and sightsee with our daughter and grandson. My husband researched and found this diner for a lunch spot. It was really good, great service and will definitely return again. The pie was delicious and the young man waiting on us was terrific.

Kid-friendliness: Have chairs for kids and very accommodating.

A little gem in the heart of downtown Washington, IA. First time to this establishment. Came here for supper. Hours are 4 pm - 8 pm for a supper menu.
I had one of the specials - Ham balls with tomato glaze with 2 sides. I chose roasted vegetables and mac & cheese. For dessert, I chose the strawberry/rhubarb pie.
Th fresh brewed coffee was the best I've had in a restaurant. Ham balls were perfectly cooked. The roasted vegetables were simply delicious....
