When you get there understand it’s busy and they only have a few workers so you’ll be there a while. They’re still trying to catch up from their popularity. But the wait is worth the amazing food
What a fun and refreshingly different experience! The food was flavorful, fresh, the restaurant clean and tastefully decorated. My daughter loved the fresh bread and bean stew, I had the sauerkraut and sausage. Both were delicious!

Another endorsement for Anna’s Kitchen! We went because read about it in the Waterloo-CF Foodies group on FB and we overheard another couple there last night that also found their way there thanks to this group.
Some places give you tortilla chips or bread as a starter— here, you get complimentary house-made rolls and chicken noodle soup. Lemme tell you, these are no lil’ b*tch rolls, they’re hearty and dense and freaking good. 5 stars for the rolls alone.
Chicken noodle soup was delicious too, the kind where you see the little fatty oils floating at the top, the real good made fresh kind.
I got the goulash with homemade noodles which was *chefs kiss*. A different flavor profile than the common ground beef and elbow noodle variety found in many a Midwest kitchen (no shade to that version!) and it did not disappoint in its made-from-scratch glory.
Anywho, get out there and fill your bellies with some of Anna’s home cooking!
It’s quiet enough (granted we got there right when they opened before it was slammed) and very clean. A good option for those that may be sensitive to noise or overstimulation, and for those that may be hard of hearing.

I had dinner here last night. A bowl of home made Chicken dumpling, pork chops, and mini baked potatoes. The flavor of the seasoned meat was spectacular and the fried onions on the top were amazing. The potatoes were another step up. I'm not sure what the background of the restaurant is but I'm guessing it was German or something European. On the menu yes they had burgers that sounded great but the other dishes... Schnitzel, leg of lamb, sausage prepared German style... You name it they had it when it came to a "different" menu. They also had a breakfast menu. I'm a truck driver from Wisconsin and I hope I come through here again. This was a great "different" meal. Thank you at Anna's kitchen for that! Wow!
This is my 1st time here, had the lamb chops and chicken and dumplings. The cook did not disappoint, waitress is very nice amd sweet. Calm relaxing atmosphere, very much worth the trip and experience.
