We LOVE this place. Every time we visit Iowa, this is one of the stops, if not the first! The guys are always so friendly. The atmosphere is chill. And the pizzas are one to none! Also… don’t leave without getting the Nutella pizza, but please be warned that you will be HOOKED
Since I tried this pizza, it has taken over as favorite deep dish ever for my hubby, me and my 16 year old and our 10 year old always orders a thin. The artwork, plants, and vibe is unmatched in downtown Waterloo. Our favorite is the pepperoni deep dish with a side of hot honey to drizzle. The wings, sauce and rub are yummy too! 🍕
We come to Waterloo once a year for golf tournament. We were recommended the Brown Bottle by many people so we got a hotel close to that restaurant. We stumbled upon Basal because it was SO close to our hotel. The pizza was fantastic! The service was amazing. I want to knock them because of technology of ordering but I can’t because that’s my personal preference. My husband is a “high maintenance” eater and he even said it’s one of the best pizzas he has had.
