Watch the bartenders. Best to pay by cash as you go and NOT start a tab. Twice now my card has been overcharged. Once for $15 and another for $5. Have pool by the hr which is awesome but some of the bartenders are sketchy. And two are downright unfriendly.

Went to BJ’s last night. The bartender working was THE WORST bartender I’ve ever had. The bar didn’t have many people in it. And it took this girl over 20 minutes to get me a drink. She was too busy chatting up and taking shots with the other customers. Says she has lung problems but I’m telling you this girl was high on something. Christine or Christina maybe. Blonde hair, sleeve tattoos, glasses. TERRIBLE human being. Took another 15 minutes just to cash out my tab because she had to give another customer her entire life story. Lost my buddies card and freaked out on him for saying he handed it to her to open a tab. Also over charged another customer by over $10 and refused to fix the mistake. Don’t go to this bar.

I love this bar. It's got a Great Jukebox, several pool tables, a heated outdoor smoking area for the less pleasant times of the Iowan Weather. Great Prices on Domestic Cans and Bottled Beers. Plus what you'd expect to pay for mixed drinks, with a good pour!! And my personal favorite about BJ's is that I can go have a relaxing drink in complete anonymity, which is worth paying a nonexistent cover charge for. Any time I want to have a couple drinks and not be bothered by anyone in the place. Let alone some drunk who thinks he remembers me from somewhere else a long time ago. For ME, it's the opposite of Cheers, where I can go, and no one knows my name. And for that, I tip very well.Took my daughter in tonight, something I never thought I would do in my lifetime. Played some pool on the same tables, with possibly the same sticks, on definitely the same felt well rolled upon cloth pool tables lol the Drinks were still very good, and the Little Blonde bartender was a sweetheart of a gal. I'm sure we'll be back before too much time goes by.

This is a really nice place. The drinks are poured just right and they don't cost an arm and a leg. The staff and other customers were nice and made me want to keep going back.
