My Dr. in Ohio prescribe me coffee for my ADHD, as a better, healthy alternative then meds. Never was a fan of coffee because of the bitterness, however the dark roast coffee here is not bitter!! Unbelievable and very satisfied.

After a quick Google search for a local coffee shop, we made our way to Fat Cup Coffee. The excellent reviews are correct, this place has amazing coffee. They roast their own beans so you know it is fresh. Espresso made the way it is supposed to be made. The owner, Ryan was attentive and spent time chatting with us during our visit. If you find yourself in Waterloo and in need of really good coffee, Fat Cup Coffee is your place!

Picked up some cold brew and saw these Monster cookies, once again Fat Cup DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Highly recommend Fat Cup whenever You’re in the Waterloo area.

We recommended Fat Cup to someone coming out of town to bring our Dr office coffee. She was treated very poorly- the barista was huffy when she walked into the empty shop when she told him she had a bigger order they replied "how big?!" than he was inattentive to her order. She did ask if she should take her business elsewhere and he said Yes!! Yikes!! I was regular customer until today.
I discovered this when we lived in the CFW area and was really sad when me moved out of state. I was blown away when I saw it could be shipped to me and promptly started ordering our favorite roasts to our new state. This last order was delayed which is fine we made due but I did not expect it to arrive with a surprise inside! I personally love this company and will be very sad if they ever stop shipping out of IA. If you have not tried their coffee, its a must! I love supporting small family owned businesses and they deserve all the support!

I've never had their coffee before they were set up in evansdale. I walked up when they were closing up and didn't even realize. They were super sweet and asked what I would like. Both men working had smiles and coffee was amazing definitely will stop by again if they are in town. Super hot out today and appreciate them working in this heat. ❤️
