Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. The gyro supreme was delicious, you could definitely make 2 Gyros with the amount of meat and veggies. Just add a second pita to your order. Meat is lamb and beef like it's supposed to be. I pulled up bobtail with my truck and no one had a issue with it.

OH MAN. gyro hut has always been good for years eating there, but they must've added more love to their big boy gyro burger. Epic. worth the wait. it is now the best burger I've had in Waterloo IA in 23 yrs. Good job you guys and keep up the good work! I'll be back sooner than later!!!!!

Gyro Hut has been on the corner of 9th and and highway 218 for years now. I used to love going there and getting the Italian beef sandwich. But it seems like every time it goes through a new owner the quality of the food gets worse.

Don’t let the low score fool you . This place is a hidden gem. Food options are limited in Waterloo but the food here is pretty bomb! Don’t let the low score. I got the double gyro sandwich. My other colleagues liked their rice platter. It’s like a Halal cart food in ny. Prices aren’t bad. Friendly workers. Would come back again.
