The lady behind the register that seated us was very polite. It is a buffet style restaurant, so you pay ahead of time. The food was stocked fairly well except for the sushi. Alot of the food was not labeled so you took your chances on what you were eating. Some items very hard (garlic bread/rice krispie bars) Table service was only someone coming by to take your plates. You get your own drink, food, and utensils. I can't see the servers/busers getting good tips for only clearing tables. Place was lightly lighted except around the food. Ice cream cups made my meal enjoyable.

Minutes after eating there and walking out the door my boyfriend and I both experienced issues with our stomach and got sick.

Looked up buffet on my phone and found this. Had a picture of Izumis on their cover page. IT IS NOT IZUMIS!!! Don’t be fooled. Izumis is down the street. Go there instead!

Very mediocre I wouldn't recommend eating there. The buffet used to be really good but now it's just basic. And they charge way too much for the food that they serve.

So this place is unique. You self service yourself completely like getting your own drinks and getting your own napkins. There are multiple lights out, so it’s pretty dark and not fancy at all.

The food was sometimes cool to the touch, which was weird as it was coming right off the steam table. I think the steam table wasn’t working.

The food was not great but mostly edible. Some were chewy or overcooked but some were alright. It was alright since I was strapped for time I guess but nothing to go out of my way for.

Also, the bus gal was on her phone talking the whole time. The staff bringing out food also had AirPods in and were on their phone. This place has just marginally alright food but terribly bad service. There is no hibachi either.

The taste of this restaurant is just like the spirit of this city — old, careless, and slowly decaying.

I just went here with my family 2 hours ago, we found this place on the way for our trip to chicago, and we thought why not give it a shot, went in with 2 adults and 1 kid at the age of 9 and it totaled out to be around 40 dollars or around there, and at first i had second thoughts, but once i realized there was no limit to how much you can eat, and drink, i realized that the price isnt really that bad after all, food was good, and they even had ice cream my 9 year old son loved. Definitely would come back if we pass by again. (forgot to add i figured out the drinks were not charged and were unlimited for people!)
