I hate that I didn't like the food because the service was good. Went on tugboat Tuesday night and there was more bread than tenderloin. I didn't eat it. It didn't seem cooked thoroughly. The food was more expensive than I expected. I always drive by and the food smells great but when I finally went it actually made my stomach hurt ?

Haven’t been here in awhile. I came here as a young child and now a parent myself brought all of my kids here at some point and realized our youngest hasn’t ever been here especially for the infamous tugboat Tuesday. It was by far less than unsatisfactory. Everything from the food to the mustard and ketchup tasted old and under seasoned. I understand it’s cheap grub but you also wanna have people come back for the food no matter what. Some people might not care or have a pallet but it was gross. I had extras to take with me for our athlete at practice and I just tried to give it away or throw it away. It has gone downhill for sure. Come back steamboat and make some renovations to the place. My child even bought candy bar before we left and she took a bite and said that was gross and tasted old. ?

The best tenderloin and the waitress was super attentive. Remember going here when I was a little girl.Parking: Parked in front of the door a couple of times but got there as someone was leaving. Lots of business at noon so may have to park in the far side of the parking lot

I ordered the fish. It must have been frozen and it was rubbery. My mom had a hamburger that was super dry and flat as a piece of paper. She ordered sautéed onions; and got chopped up onions instead. Her hamburger was really disgusting. We both got salads and they were great. The waitress was so busy; but very good. She really needed help.

Food was really good. But when ordering online even though it says it comes with fries. You have to ask for fries or you won't get them. Kinda misleading .
It is a fun fine Iowa institution!! I do not understand all the bad reviews? I went on a Tuesday night there is a tugboat special more then enough food , it's a perfect fine fried pork tenderloin on a bun, very juicy. The onion rings were so delicious!!!! Flakey and fabulous. Haters need to stop hating !!

I have went to steamboat Gardens for years and enjoyed everything about it. One raw chicken sandwich and that's all gone now.

All around a nice place to eat. Nothing fancy, very nostalgic. I really only go on Tuesday's for the Tugboats and Fries. You can get a hamburger bun size tenderloin and fries for $5. Great value and tastes the same every time!
