As a repeat customer, this was an incredibly frustrating night. I came in on. Saturday night during a Bears game - I expected it to be busy and knew there'd be a delay in service due to popularity. I did *not* order food during this evening but historically the food has always been amazing and presented as depicted. My disappointment comes from the bartenders and service I received this evening. I came in and ordered a beer relatively quickly, I finished my beer within about 45mins and waited to be acknowledged to order another (game ended about 30min prior) [female]. After 45+ mins, I finally flagged down a bartender (Megan) who begrudgingly took my order then took 15 mins to fulfill while assisting other patrons (males) with a smile on her face. I've never felt so disregarded as I had tonight. This bartender has served me on other instances- inconsistent drinks, mind you- and has almost consistently offered poor service. I'd love to recommend 85West but if you're in house and Megan is the bartender, I cannot recommend the space and I, honestly, cannot recommend enough that you avoid the service.

Next tk that he makes up lies to try and suck up to ICE and MAGA saying she ran the masked terrorist over she all video evidence clearly showed she never hit him

Great restaurant overall with fresh food and an excellent atmosphere. I called ahead a couple days in advance to verify they were hosting their regular Wednesday night trivia specifically because it would be New Year’s Eve. The person I spoke with was adamant they were still hosting. I made plans to go with friends and when I arrived at the door there was a sign that said they were not hosting trivia. I was very disappointed that I was told incorrect information and now have to make other plans last minute.

Had the Italian Beef on two occasions. Both times WAY too salty. Chicken Caesar salad was very good. Fun place to watch NFL as they show most of the games besides the Bears.
I've been looking for a solid Chicago dog in Des Moines for eons and 85 Bar West didn't disappoint; as authentic and delicious as any I've had in the Windy City, and glad to have found a new favorite watering hole in Waukee. Pre-IMAX cocktails and excellent food here from now on!

My drink came out with an old moldy lime. While they did make a new drink, the server did not apologize nor was it removed for my tab. Our food was overly greasy to the point the bread was soggy. Our waitress took the food off our table and then didn’t come back for 30 minutes to give us our check. I will not be returning.

Came here for the first time. Our waitress Andrea didn’t seem to enjoy her job too much. My friend I was with had gotten a moldy lime on her Moscow mule and the waitress didn’t apologize for it although my friend was given a new drink but, not offered on the house. After that I personally did not enjoy my food because it was overly greasy, bacon was burnt, and I’m pretty sure my side salad was old salad. I can say I will not be returning.
