Just came in to this place and it hasn’t been our first time. We’ve had very good experiences but this one tops it all. I will not be coming back after this. Me and my family are enjoying our ice cream outside at 9:30 when the blonde and brunette girl told us to get up so they could put the chairs and table inside. We all were so confused as we had just been sitting down for about 5 minutes. I’m super disappointed. I really loved this place but getting told to leave so they could put the tables inside was just unbelievable. Especially when they weren’t even closed. We will not be coming back.

The ice cream was good, but the overall experience fell short.

I actually went to Waukee over a decade ago and have started a few businesses here myself, so I’m not just some outsider being overly critical. I care about the community and want to see local spots thrive—but part of that includes holding places to a standard.

There weren’t many flavor options, which was a minor letdown, but the bigger issue was the service. The teens working (likely Waukee high schoolers) came off as standoffish and uninterested. The blonde girl taking orders was especially condescending—definitely not the attitude you want greeting paying customers, whether someone’s a kid or an adult.

Waukee already has a bit of a reputation for entitlement, and unfortunately, this interaction only reinforced that. There’s a big world outside of this town, and jobs like these are a chance to grow—not just stand around and act “too cool” to engage with people.

I hope management invests in some customer service training. Good ice cream is great—but good service is what brings people back.

Visiting from out of town so I stopped in and asked what varieties of vegan ice cream they had and they said “it looks like we don’t have any today”

Kids loved the flavor options. There’s even a little step so the kids can peek into the freezer to see the flavors. Sprinkles at every table! Cute atmosphere. The ice cream is SUPER creamy. Not icy or dull. Very smooth. The spoons, hear me out, the SPOONS are sturdy and I swear they make the ice cream scoop out perfectly!

I really like how they offer samples of their flavors. I got one scoop of the cookie monster and my friend got a split scoop. They truly load up the cup even with a single scoop. Paid $11.70 for both our ice creams.

This is the best ice cream shop! We love that they make all their own ice cream. So many shops just resell Blue Bunny, etc. I think this is a gem of Waukee, and I hope they do well.

There are lots of flavors with new ones all the time. I really love their brownies, too! They offer a 20% discount for veterans, fire, and police. They're a great local community asset!

They even have an ice cream truck and show up at lots of local Waukee events.

So yummy! Great ice cream and waffle cones. Loved the raspberry with chocolate chips and my daughter loved her salted Oreo. Nice I've cream shop atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
