Amazing addition to this side of Waukee! The breakfast sandwich was so delicious. Its a cool dining room with a skylight, nice iced latte as well.

New cafe in refurbished downtown Waukee building. Bright and fresh interior. Nice place for a sit-down breakfast. Avocado toast was very good!

We split the tavern burger and the breakfast burrito. Both were delicious, the burger was seasoned and cooked perfectly and needed no extra condiments other than what comes on it! The fries were crispy good and the burrito was delish, as well-the 2 sauces were fresh and tasty with just a little bite to them. The special addition to the menu now is banana bread fresh toast with a maple glaze hollandaise sauce and black berries. It was so amazing, I want to eat it every day!! I highly recommend this new little gem of an eatery!

Adorable little brunch spot with St. Kilda vibes. Went there with my bestie today and we’re both wanting to go back and try more dishes. I appreciate a smaller menu, it means they’re able to do each dish really well and it was fantastic! The owner is lovely and sweet and you can tell her heart is poured into thus place. It's like the east village came to waukee and I’m here for it! Will return 100%

I came here with a friend and both of our coffees and meals were great. The coffee was excellent and although the menu is small it was great. Our server was attentive and very helpful with our decisions. Very thankful waukee has a cute coffee and breakfast spot.

I’m a newly food blogger and decided to give little Leaf my first food review! I’m highly disappointed in the service and in the food! The server recommended the burrito with bacon so of course I got it! I loved the way it looked the plates were cute don’t really understand why it’s on cast-iron because it’s came out cold and it tasted like metal just very not tasty! The server could’ve been more attentive and I could’ve let her known sooner but by the time she got to me I was ready to go! I wish I could say I enjoyed my white noise latte hot but the espresso tasted burnt! Maybe next time little leaf

I got the breakfast burrito and the basic breakfast. The burrito was good, but not the best. The hatch peppers made it REALLY hot, even tho the server said it shouldn't be hot. The basic breakfast was eggs and toast. The sourdough was good. The homemade jam was fabulous! The bacon was done the way I like it, but I dint think most people like it barely done.

The menu is very limited, like a luncheonette should be. However, it didnt have any luncheonette staples. It did have fried chicken. I can read a menu in 7 different languages, but i didnt know what half the stuff was reading the ingredients.

The drinks are very limited as well. No diet pop of any kind. A lot of..well...fru fru items, for lack of a better term.

The atmosphere is very nice, almost pretentious. Nice decorations. Comfortable chairs. Our table wasn't stable. It seemed that the top wasn't connected to the stand.

I think it's misnamed. It doesn't feel like a luncheonette. It feels more like a pretentious cafe. I do want to say I hope it does well, i like the drive to bring something new to waukee, and this certainly is new and different.

The prices are very high though. 11 bucks for eggs and toast? 4 bucks for 2 pieces of bacon?

Enjoyed Little Leaf for a business lunch in October! A great new location on the triangle in Waukee. Great healthy food options & atmosphere! And you have to try the coffee.😊
