We hadn't been there for quite some time so thought we would try LosTres again. The house margarita was horrible, tasted more like juice. The fajita nachos were salty. The salsa and chips were very good. Staff act like we are interrupting their chat time! What appeared to be the manager was on his cell phone pretty much the entire time we were there for dinner. We will not be back.

My wife and I ate there on 8-9-2025. We were seated quickly and promptly waited on. We ordered been dip with our nachos. Some thin and thin queso was added to the been dip making it a sloppy mess, but it was tasty. I ordered the Burrito Monterrey. The vegetables inside were water logged, and the chicken was cut into real small pieces and not very many of them. The burrito had green chile, queso, and red chili sauce poured over the top. The three sauces were very thin, and there was not very much of any of the three of them. Also, the burrito overall have very little spice or flavor. MY wife had the Tres Amigos. She liked the way it was cooked but again, totally lacked flavor or spice. If you want to say you ate Mexican food and dont like spicy Mexican food, this is probably the place for you.

Los Tres Amigos in Waukee is hands-down one of my favorite local Mexican spots. The atmosphere is always buzzing with energy, and the staff makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. The chips and salsa come out fast (and warm!), and the margaritas? Absolutely on point - especially the mango one! I ordered the carne asada tacos this time, and they were bursting with flavor and grilled to perfection. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and everything tastes freshly made. Whether it's a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends, Los Tres Amigos always delivers. Highly recommend if you're in the Waukee area!

It was good but not the best I had. The chips are thicker than some places but were warm. Cheese dip was great. I had pollo loco which was good. I had a peach margarita that was good but not the best I had. Prices though were better than I expected. Most things at $15 which I feel is a good deal. Service was a little slow/lacking but it was a holiday weekend evening.

We held our book club meeting here in the late afternoon. We had drinks, chips and salsa, and queso. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff. Great prices for margaritas.

Food was just not good. Quesadillas were so soggy and stuck together. Flavor was not there. Just not very good food
