“My husband and I have eaten at Aura at least 5 times. We've also hosted group dinners there. The food is FANTASTIC, and the mussels are absolutely delicious. And I'm from the NW, I know delicious mussels! The ONLY thing keeping me from giving it a 5 STAR review is that the music is too loud, and it's monotonous. Please, serve quiet, enjoyable music to go along with your wonderful food.“

“I’ve been a regular here for years until I moved to another city but I still work in Grimes and I got my co workers food today from here. The bartender was super nice on the phone and in person. When we got the food back to my office everything was perfect. The food was amazing. My boss who usually trashes anything I order if it isn’t something in his usual food places, well he absolutely loved it and said next time we ever get burgers that’s where we are going from this point on! “Nick’s is always a win! If you’re there, you are family. The staff truly cares that your experience is spectacular. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is top-notch. Twice a month I meet up with a wonderful friend to sit at the bar, eat some snacks, and enjoy a bourbon or martini while she drinks wine. Even with the rarity of my visits, the bartenders treat me like a regular and work to get to know me. You cannot match the level of service! I typically stay for a short amount of time, eat while I’m there, and also take food home for my high school aged children. The to go food is always perfectly packaged and delicious even if it sits on the counter for a bit while we finish our conversation and settle bills. I cannot recommend Nick’s enough. I almost hate to post this review and ruin the truly beautiful experience.“

“Highly recommend! Very glad that we stopped here on our way through Iowa. Had a bunch of different appetizers (portobello fries, roasted Brussels sprouts, pretzels with beer cheese, pub salad) and beignets for dessert, all of which were delicious. They have a huge variety of beers, as well as some really tasty cocktails, and we enjoyed creating our own flights. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the bartender in particular was very knowledgeable about all the different breweries, styles and particular beers. The space was clean and comfortable. It would be the perfect place to host a party. Wish we had this place in our city!“
