Some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had - juicy, not greasy, and not fried hard or overcooked - perfect. Sauces were good but preferred chicken without the sauce because it was just that good. The manager and staff at this location also get an A++ for outstanding customer service! Oh, the buttered toast was a treat I didn't know I needed :)

Bone in wings were horrible, super dry, and still had feathers on some. The chicken strips and dipping sauces were good. The manager on duty did a great job talking up his employees for their hard work.

Whenever me and boyfriend go later towards close there is always someone named Tim in the drive thru. He doesn’t know it but he’s genuinely one of my favorite drive thru employees i’ve ever met.

Waukee is adding more top notch tasty drive ups off S.E Alice Road. Slim Chicken is two months old and has an assortment of offerings from wings, tenders and sides that are simply delicious. I ordered 6 fat free wings tossed in lemon pepper using soybean oil. The wait is longer than most due to the entree being made to order with the freshest ingredients. The Manager and Kathryn made each customer feel welcomed. Stop in and welcome this super clean, with plenty of parking dine in or drive up casual establishment to the neighborhood,
Overpriced uncooked rubbery chicken. Cold fries, breading was not crispy and flavor was bland.

Seemed kind of pricey for what it is. $13 for the club chicken sandwich meal. The sandwich definitely isn't big and it's about a small McDs size of fries. I got it shaken in the hot, which is anything but hot. Also tried the classic sandwich shaken with the mango habenero. Meh. Both sandwiches were pretty greasy/saucy. Not in a hurry to go back.

Decided to try on a night we didn't want to cook. Chicken and fries were great, the fried pickles were also well above average. I wasn't the biggest fan of having bacon in my potato salad, but other people may enjoy it. We will definitely choose Slim over Kanes if we want a chicken fix.
