We were told 15-20 minutes till we would be seated. 30 minutes it took. We ordered right away. But with in an hour and half no pizza after being told our pizza would be done in 10 after 10 minutes yours is the next out. 10 minutes later others were served while we were still sitting there

We were extremely disappointed tonight. After being on the waitlist for about 25 minutes, we were sat at a small table right across from the hostess stand. We waited 20 minutes and no one came to our table. We went back to the stand and told them to give our table to someone else. All the hostess said was, “I’m sorry.” Hopefully the service is better when we try again next time.

I walked in at 8:30 on a Friday night and realized quickly that every chair was on the tables and they looked closed. Someone yelled out to me and asked if I needed assistance and I respectfully declined. If you are closing up a pizza shop at 8:30 something is very wrong.

I've always found the pizza at Slice of NY to be decent, but my recent experience at the Waukee location was extremely disappointing due to poor service. I placed an online order, and the app indicated my pizza would be ready by 6:30 PM on a Thursday evening. However, when I arrived, my order hadn’t even been started—it hadn’t gone into the oven yet. I ended up waiting an additional 32 minutes in-store, making the total time from order to pickup nearly an hour.
What made it worse was the complete lack of communication from the staff. No updates, no apologies—just silence. Another couple there at the same time experienced nearly the same issue. If you’re planning to order online, I’d recommend calling ahead or being prepared to wait well beyond the estimated time. Very frustrating experience.

I’ve had the spaghetti and meatballs a couple times and it was fantastic. Only slight complaint is it takes an hour to prepare, so you have to plan accordingly. It is worth the wait though!!
