Ordered online 30 minutes before arrival and still had to wait about 15 minutes for two crescent sandwiches as I seen 3 people that just got there get there food. If you are expecting a speedier pick up I don’t recommend from what I’ve seen going inside is quicker but less convenient. All else is good!

We have been coming to The Coffeesmith for about 3.5 years since we moved to Waukee. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The drinks?? Absolutely delicious! The Pablo Honey has my soul in a death grip.
Today though, I wanted to try something I’ve been drinking at home in a coffee pod flavor. Josh (owner) was in this morning helping to train a new staff member and was so accommodating with helping to create my flavor request and it was exactly what I wanted.
Thank you for being a cornerstone for the Waukee community! I love coming in and bumping into neighbors, friends and coworkers alike. It’s so nice to visit a coffee shop that is buzzing with all the best activity!
Oh, and the coffee you might ask?? Josh - I will be angling to get this on a rotating menu 😉

This is a GREAT local coffee shop to have a quick meeting with a small group and grab your favorite coffee drink. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is always quiet enough that you can work and not have it be busy/loud around you.

Was excited for a breakfast sandwich after an early wake up from the kids. I ended up arriving right at opening to find the lights off. The opener sped into the parking lot about five minutes after. Hearing the conversation with the other opener as they walked up it seemed to be his last day so he was in a good mood. Then I watched them struggle with unlocking the door. I decided it would be best not to tempt fate and left. The morning just did not seem off to a good start. Unfortunately, my next stop wasn’t any better (see Coaches Kolaches).

Just popped into The Coffeesmith to try it out for the first time - I immediately had to run and leave a review bc it’s just that good! I tried the summer seasonal smores latte, I am a smores latte connoisseur, and this one was amazing!! But what really had me running to leave a stellar review? The almond patty pastry. Only one bite into it and I’ve determined it’s going to be something I crave way too often. Growing up in Eastern Iowa as a bohemie, iykyk, I frequently visited Jaarsma’s and know my way around almond pastries of all kinds. The Coffesmith’s almond patty rivals all others! You have to have it! 🤩🥐

I have been here before...decent experience. Noticed today (website) they have nitro and always willing to try a new one. Asked for one and manager said we don't have nitro. Said I was sorry I saw it on website. He said we did but it keeps breaking down so think we're just going to get rid of it. And was a little snarky about it. I left as that's all I drink coffee wise. I'm fully aware nitro machines break down, but take it off your site or at least have a pleasant response if ordered.
