asked for no crab because of allergy still received crab. asked for no veggies still got veggies. man was not very nice when i was ordering he looked irritated with me and they told me i couldn’t get soup when the other locations do. also received my food not cooked all the way:( tsing tsao on southside of des moines is WAY better UPDATE continued eating and something was in the food that made a very hard crunch looks like metal prices or something but tsing tsao please do better!

Never been one to leave a review on a fast food/restaurant place before but I just had to today. I understand everyone has an off day and no place is perfect but when you’re an establishment who charges a decent price for what I thought was for quality food, it’s very upsetting when they do not deliver. I ordered around $50 worth of food today. Orange chicken breading was super soggy, and barely warm, the chicken and broccoli tasted very funny!? And the crab ragoons were also super soggy and hard to bite into. It’s really upsetting when you have staff/cooks who you hire in hopes of providing decent food and who you have ultimately representing your establishment, it’s embarrassing in my opinion to have an experience like this. If you are a fan of QUALITY Chinese food, please please look elsewhere, this is not the place! I would argue Panda Express is far better. Not really understanding where all these “good reviews” are coming from honestly. To the workers hired here, I understand the place of work is not a top cuisine establishment where you’re getting paid a fair wage but understand that’s it’s a wage nonetheless that you decided to work at. Understand that there are those giving sometimes the very limited money to splurge on themselves or kiddos just for the food to be below average. Nothing worse than getting cold, nasty food after a hard day of work. Please do better.

This place had gone downhill in my heart. A few issues:- They put the crab rangoon and egg roll in the container instead of using a separate bag. This caused both appetizers to become soggy.- Beef was never its strength. Dry.- Dishes got more and more juice over the years. Maybe it's now precooked instead of cooked-to-order as some slurry was all it needed to look and taste better? I don't know. Their food lost the magic.Original review 5 years ago:Excellent and friendly service. Place is a bit dated but clean. Food was cooked red hot and full of flavors consistently in each visit instead of just watery stir fry with frozen vegetables and meat. 5 stars no doubt for a fast food Chinese restaurant.

The storefront is decent. I got crab ragoons that were rubbery on the outside, like they had been fried hours ago and were just sitting out. The inside was somehow liquid and did not taste good at all. The rest of the food was unseasoned. The pot stickers were good.

They have ABSOLUTELY GREAT FOOD HERE !!! After being here a few times they even remember you & what you normally order !!! GREAT OWNERS !!!
just got kicked out at 8:15 so they can clean our area… still hadn’t finished our food and they are suppose to close at 9.. rude front staff too. UPDATE: now they are saying i kicked in the door… don’t go and lie now cmon y’all. terrible way to try to save face. your rackety door that swings open is loud, just because it pops and snaps as you open it doesn’t mean it was kicked open. I used my foot because the door looked extremely dirty and i was about to eat. Clean your door and people won’t have to use their feet, stop the dishonesty. and while we’re speaking about bathrooms, they were nasty and looked like they don’t get cleaned at all. no soap and toilet paper all over the ground. FYI, nobody reminded me that it was closing. We were told to leave so they could clean. i would have happily moved if given the option. if you say you’re open till 9 then be open till 9. if you have to disrupt your food service at 8:15 to clean then you are only truly open until 8:15. sad. i used to love this place, used to have great food and great portions for the price. Nowadays you go there, spend a minimum of 12-15 for a meal and they serve you much less then they used to. Disappointing. I’m not one to leave reviews but this can’t be left without a response. Crab Rangoons are cold and hard, just like the spring rolls, almost every time. Quit going there for about 8 months because the food we purchased last time was cold and tasted old. We will give it another try tonight (Dec 15th) to see if anything has changed.
