Took my kids here for ice cream! There was a strong smell of something when we first walked in where my youngest son said it smelled funny. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was definitely odd. Ice cream was fine according to my kids.

It's your home town ice cream shop, we're lucky to have one in Waukee. I've always been happy with my service and the flavors on offer. It provides sweet treats while walking downtown, jobs for students, they always have waffle cones on hand, and it's in a cute area that is pedestrian and bike-friendly.

Great ice cream (packed and soft serve!), reasonable prices, overall our favorite ice cream spot in the area. One suggestion would be to possibly consider some more natural dyes. Definitely not a deal breaker for us but of course the kids want the colorful ones and I would definitely pay more if they were colored with beet juice, blue spirulina instead. And they do have several that I’m assuming are dye free so if you are really sensitive there are still great options there.
Love this place! We have spend way too much money there but the ice cream is AMAZING! The staff is great and the place is always clean. Outdoor seating for when its nice out. This is our preferred ice cream shop.
