Sasquatch Jacks Hideaway Barroom & Grill

Stopped last night for supper, got seated right away. After 20 minutes of being ignored and not even getting a drink we left. I'd prefer to give a review on the food, but I've been there twice and still haven't gotten service enough to get a drink.

Excellent food and excellent service everytime

Went for the onion rings after seeing a picture on reviews and were not disappointed. Absolutely delicious! Onion rings were thin, light and crispy. Monte Cristo sandwich was uniquely smokey. The French fries were so yum! Absolutely would go back to try more!

My favorite American grille in Waverly. Burgers here are great, that's what I usually come for. Good appetizers as well. I like eating on the barside, that part of the building has an interesting atmosphere. The bar is cozy and has a unique shape that I like, perfect for a handful of friends to gather at. Friendly staff. A great place to enjoy the people you are with and have decent fare...NOT a place that priortizes having your eyes glued to a ball game on TV while serving you bad food.

The restaurant was amazing. Large family dining area. Bar was definitely up to date. The Sasquatch them fits the menu. Large burgers and Sandwiches. We had the Mac and cheese burger and the Iowa Cuban. We didn't have a chance to stop for a Cuban sandwich in Florida this run,... The Iowa Cuban matched up.
Thanks Jacks side Bar keep it up.
One more thing.... The kitchen manager was in the house tonight, amazing food and menu. My Lady and I will stop by every time when in Iowa.......... Ta' next time

Parking: Easy to find great food. Parking for truckers in the evening. 30spot parking are in the evenings

The place is decorated with fun Sasquatch items. Smothered chicken was tender and tasty. Waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about allergens and gluten.

Dietary restrictions: Wait staff very knowledgeable about which items were gluten free. Had shellfish allergy and nut allergy and could tell us what not to eat.

Food was SO good.. but our service sucked tonight. Our waitress never checked on us and never gave us refills. We had to constantly ask another lady for refills and the check. Which thankfully she was sweet and got us what we needed. But the guy that is waitressing was absolutely horrible!!

Great atmosphere at Sasquatch Jacks but the food was a little disappointing. The breaded wings were barely breaded and the spicy bbq sauce was not what I was expecting. The onion rings that another reviewer claimed as the “best they’ve ever had” were not worth it. They do have a nice selection of burgers and the Sasquatch burger was really good. Go here for some drinks and a good hang, but don’t expect more than standard bar food.
