Nice place. Lots of tap beer selection. The Hot Mama Smash burger was a bust. Very dry & over cooked. Fries were not good either. However, the neighboring table had pizza and a tenderloin that looked very good.

Stayed at Drury Inn and walked over . Sampled a few Iowa beers. Wonderful service, atmosphere, and very knowledgeable bartender!

My husband and I recently discovered beer styles and were quite excited about the menu . We have been there several times and have always enjoyed their food and beer selection. We almost always get some combination of their fried chicken sandwich, mushroom fries, and spinach burrata and have always enjoyed their food. We recently picked up their chicken sandwich with a side of fries and when we got back home to eat it, most of the chicken was over burnt. I have a picture attached of what the chicken sandwich looked like once we removed the burnt bits. When I called and asked for a refund, the lady over the phone checked with their head chef who said that it is expected that their chicken sandwich when fried turns into a darker color but that doesn’t mean it’s burnt….we have had this sandwich many times before and have never had this issue and I for sure have no reason to scam them for their money. Half of the fries were burnt as well; she told us that she didn’t see anything wrong with the fries when she packed them. We would truly know what the fries taste like since we actually tasted them instead of a visual inspection. Very strange that they were making it seem like we were making this up (didn’t ask for pictures or any other details). This is not the experience I was expecting and I will never go back.

Yes we have had pleasant experiences in the past with Matt. This place also serves Sudwerks beer all the way from my alma mater in Davis, CA! I don’t see that in too many places. Unfortunately there seems to be some misunderstanding since we were never offered a refund. She did say that she can have the manager call me if I leave my name and phone number but she didn’t indicate that it was for a refund but more so for me to make my case again, which at that point I was not interested in leaving my personal details with little hope of resolution.

Good place to drink but the bartenders service that day was unacceptable and rude.

My boyfriend and I frequent BeerStyles for the selection of beers. They are never overly crowded and service is always great. They also have great cocktails, mules and other beverages.

The place is extremely under rated! Such a great spot in west glen.

Stopped in for beers and found out it’s all day happy hour Sunday! Delaney was my bartender and she was good vibes, friendly, and knowledgeable, recommended me her favorite brewery, Dimensional, and I was in a sour mood so I had the cherry fluff! The patio is one of the best in W Des Moines and so relaxing with the fountain next to it. I will definitely be back for Sunday Funday’s!

Burnt Brussels sprouts, burnt fries, undercooked fish. The food isn’t up to par for the price. Understaffed. The restaurant doesn’t seemed to be managed well. The beer selection is nice though.

Me, my wife, and our two friends from North Carolina were in West Des Moines for a grand kid graduation. I was in charge of selecting a place for dinner one night and I discovered this restaurant so we all converged here for our meal and beer. I had the Hot Momma Smash burger and the other three all ordered the Grilled Salmon sandwich. My side was the Kung Pow brussels sprouts, my wife got the house fries, and our two friends both got the sweet potato fries. I had the Lemon Tart for dessert. All our food was outstanding!!! We each selected our beer from the extensive list and it was cold and tasty. Our waitress was amazing. She was super friendly and very attentive all throughout our time in the pub.
I have to say it again, the food was so good, really delicious, indeed outstanding. My only negative is the room was overly loud and it was hard to carry on a conversation with our friends in a normal voice. The food was certainly worth it though!

Has aiy of taps for sure , should have something for everyone. Pizza was Ok, nothing to write home about, but had three different kinds and we're all okay. Won't rate service because they were obviously training a new employee, but the fact that they have so many good beers on tap is a definite plus. One half of the restaurant is a nice lounge area with couches and chairs, but was closed off the night we were there. Why have it if we cannot use it?
