menchies is fine it's kind of dirty but one of the workers does my lashes for free and they are really cute so 5 stars

How is this place still operating? Does the corporate office not fix what is clearly broken? If you’re looking for Frozen yogurt with healthy toppings this is not the place for you especially close to closing. You better get to this location a couple hours prior if you’d like the toppings that they Advertise they offer. I took my grandson And family here For his birthday. And was treated so poorly by the staff that apparently can run the cash register at 14. I asked If they could refill the fruit so we could have toppings on our frozen yogurt and was told what’s the point they close in four minutes as there’s still 22 people behind me, including my family in front of me. If you wanna see poor customer service that it’s fighting that would be the only reason I would advise you to visit this location. Or to get road gestures, maybe even a finger as you’re walking out. SMH I’m ashamed to be a part of the community that lives near this place.

The store is absolutely awful. I visited it because the pictures in the old ratings looked promising. I walked into a ghost town. This place hasn't been cleaned in forever. It's literally falling apart. There's no ice cream in the freezer. Half of the yogurt machines don't have anything in them and the condiments are bare minimal to nothing and most of them are rotting. There's three girls working two of them on their phone, not paying attention to anybody and only one on the register.... what a mess!! I'm a store manager in retail in West Des Moines and this is one of the worst environments I've walked into in a long time. What a way to waste payroll and put you business down the tube.

Machines needed wiped. Floor need messes cleaned up. 2 girls at counter. One helped us use my Birthday reward. The other stood and played with her hair, raking her hands thru it and checking her cell and drinking from a cup. Her hair was long and loose. I asked her if she worked here. She said yes. I said the reason I asked was because if she worked there she would be cleaning up the machines, etc. Did not even faze her. She said she was helping the girl that was helping us.

Today, I went to this Menchie's. I used to go to the one in Altoona when I was a kid but they closed down a while back. I wanted to show my fiance how much I loved this place as a kid. When we went in he got a flavor called Milk Chocolate Mania. He said that the flavor didn't taste right, that it taste like chemicals, so I took a bite and it did indeed NOT taste like milk chocolate but taste like chemicals or soap. We went back in and spoke to the lady saying it didn't taste right. She went to check and talked to her manager. We weren't able to get a refund but was able to get a new cup to go. So we did. And it tasted fine. But my fiance at this point felt physical nausea. This is not okay.. I am very disappointed in this place.

Quick service many choices

Store is disgusting, floors have spilled sticky food all over them & employees just standing around doing nothing. My sandal stuck to the floor & almost pulled it off of my foot when I started to walk away due to the mess everywhere. Employee laughed when I said how awful the floor was. I would not have bought anything if I’d have seen the floor first. Also they only have one size serving available, which increases the cost of the serving & seems like it’s way too expensive for what you get.

Cute froyo shop, good place for a fun treat. Lots of variety with toppings and flavors, staff was friendly, store was clean. Came in right before close and felt bad about coming in when they were ready to close shop but the workers didn’t rush me and were super helpful. I would like to see more machines working at a time, a few were out of order. Other than that it is a nice place and I would definitely recommend. Overall, the shop has a fun atmosphere and great service. Will be visiting again next time I’m in the area.

Went last night with my two young kids and the two workers were super sweet and helpful. The place was clean and workers were picking up after customers. Although some machines were “broken”, said the employees, they also said that they were trying to get them fixed! Will definitely be returning soon!

9 flavors are out of order, the tables are all dirty, topping crumbs everywhere. The sweatpants clad staff are busy twirling their hair, on their phones and eating their own yogurt.

We used to love the West Des Moines Menchies, but it has gone downhill the last few times we’ve gone. The store is dirty and 1/3 of the froyo machines are empty so the flavor options are underwhelming. When we went in today, there weren’t any waffle bowls available nor were they making any. The two teenage girls working were just chatting and twisting their hair…several people walked in while we were eating our froyo and the girls never bothered to stop their conversation to greet the customers. If the owner cares about this place, they’ll get some new staff with better customer service skills or take some time to train them.
