Saw this place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Wanted to try what Guy had, Hornado Con Mote with a Llapingacho. This dish has tons of flavor. A simple salad but the dressing was incredible and the flavor of the slow roasted marinated pulled pork was out of this world. So tender and juicy. I highly recommend this place. Very friendly staff

We recently used Mi Patria for catering at our business event, and everything was excellent. Darwin was wonderful to work with and offered great suggestions that helped make our event a success. Our guests raved about the food, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. We would absolutely use them again for future events. Thank you, Mi Patria!

What a find! The food was delicious, service great. Started with the tortilla de yuca - yum! Then we had Chaulafan and Carne Asada, both also very good. The carne asada was probably the best I’ve had - perfectly done, tender, juicy, still a bit pink. Both entres were generous portions so we had some leftovers for the next day.

If you’re looking for something different from the usual taco-and-margarita circuit, Mi Patria will absolutely give you that.
Let me start here: this place is clearly doing things right. It’s packed, it’s highly rated, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and handled with care. This is not a “something went wrong” review. This is a “this just might not be my lane” review.
We kicked things off with empanadas and llapingachos. The empanadas? Fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, the kind where you immediately understand why people rave about them. The llapingachos… I’ll be honest, they lost me a bit. Think starchy, mild, kind of a potato-forward situation that didn’t bring a lot of flavor to the party. Not offensive, just not something I’d ever crave again.
We went big with the Mi Patria platter for two, which is basically a greatest hits album. The pork was outstanding. Legitimately great. Beans and rice were solid, no complaints there. The chicken and steak? Perfectly fine, just didn’t have that same wow factor as the pork.
And that’s kind of the theme here. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and clearly authentic. But Ecuadorian cuisine just might not be my personal go-to when I’m in a Latin food mood.
So if you love Ecuadorian food or want to try something outside the norm, this place is worth your time. If you’re like me and tend to lean toward other Latin flavors, you might walk away thinking, “Glad I tried it… probably not my regular spot.”
Either way, no shade. Just not my flavor lane.
