Food and service were great. Don’t understand why they would let someone with (assuming) service animal let the dog have its feet on the table and eat from the woman’s food. Gross!!!!!Wheelchair accessibility: I use a walker and the access was fine.

If you get a coupon from here, read the VERY SMALL FINE PRINT in the back left corner. Says you have to purchase two drinks in order to get two entrees. Showed them the coupon, my friend had already purchased a drink and I was willing to purchase a drink, but they weren't willing to make the change. Very bad customer service. Coming from somebody that worked the food industry for years, I will not be going back there again.

Yes yes, another OPA Italian & Greek review, I know I know. BUT... this is the first time we've ever been here on a date night, just the two of us alone, without the mini. We popped in for a quick date night, and saw it was packed on a Tue evening - as we were around the corner for an appointment. We had limited time to grab dinner, before yet another appointment, so we sat at the bar, which has a different ambience than the regular dining room. Honestly, I've never really been in their small bar area. It was a super fun night for us, but what I really came here to say, is that the chicken & shrimp piccata (spicy) is absolute . Whatever flavor is on the shrimp, plus the piccata sauce, was freaking delish. Steak Opa was great, too, as was the "side" of gnocchi (plentiful side!), but we boxed that up for later and both attacked the piccata. Forks were fighting, elbows nudging...it was bomb, the perfect mix of flavors, al dente pasta, just...awesome! My better half has always been so-so on Opa, and I think it's because we go there so much. Like he's gone through the menu, but now that he has landed on the piccata, he isn't budging!! My mini has some limitations and we are frequent flyers here, so we've eaten our way through the menu. My son is obsessed with "cheese on fire" (Saganaki), and their cheeseburgers. We like frequenting Opa because they are so patient with my son, and it's stressful to find places sometimes when considering all the things for my kiddo (noise, lighting, menu, wait times, service dog...) - it can be a lot to consider, but Opa is always super accommodating and kind. In honor of #autismawarenessmonth, thank you, Opa for your ongoing patience and kindness. -- at OPA Italian & Greek.

Food is amazing and the staff are awesome when there is enough staff. Would definitely eat here again, just outside of peak hours.

This business deserves 5 stars in every category. On top of everything else, the owner makes it a point to greet his customers and make them feel welcomed. We feel special every time we go there.

Jon and his staff’s care for a quality experience and the amazing fresh food make this family restaurant a great stop. As an out of state customer I always make it a priority to stop at Opa when I am in town.

Took the family here for dinner tonight for a special night out. Been here before but it's a been a few yrs. The wife and I had a couple cocktails with dinner and they were spot on. We ordered 3 apps and dinner for 5. The calamari, onion rings and ravioli were absolutely delicious. I had the tonight's special seafood pasta with white wine sauce, they nailed it!! The wife had the veal and it was delicious!! Kids had chicken Parm, shrimp salvoci(spelled wrong sorry) and manicotti. We all tried everyone else's dishes and nothing but oohs n yums all around!! Had cheesecake n canoils for dessert. Again it was amazing!! As a professional chef with over 15yrs in the game. I dnt usually get to enjoy a meal of this caliber very often. As I have extremely high standards. But the crew at this establishment was 100% on point tonight. If I had the slightest complaint it was only be my kids whining about the opera music playing in the bar area and well they kids n we ain't they the opera kinda kids. Lol. Other then that hats off to staff and def the chefs at Opa tonight. Thanks y'all for not disappointing me!!!!!

The owner, Jon, who is super rude to his customers and trains his employees to write unprofessional messages on top of to go orders, but then gaslights you when you call to discuss the problem and calls it a "misunderstanding" to make himself look better to his customers when he is called out for his rudeness. I posted a review to the Food Lover's Des Moines Facebook page where almost 1,000 people were in agreeance with me and my post and he didn't like that. My place of work has nothing to do with this review, he just likes to bully people and then blame others for his actions. Just updating my review to reflect my opinion.

Food is good, but their Delivery has never been correct. Last weekend our order was lost entirely. It was the door dash person who called to tell us. I then had to call Opa back directly. First time whomever answered was telling me not to get upset, and I was given excuses about them using 3rd party for delivery, and that they were operating at 100% capacity. We ordered online well in advance for a 7pm delivery. Tried to cancel the order after an hour wait and calling Opa for a 2nd time - they said I couldn't, but they would make it right. I did get a gift card when our order finally arrived, but too little to late. Beware with ordering delivery from Opa.

I don’t know how we hadn’t been here before! The service was awesome. The food was so good and the prices can’t be beat for the quality of these meals. Loved it. Will definitely be coming back soon.
