What an inviting place to meet, talk, or read. The selection of drinks was incredible and definitely a reason I will have to come back. I decided on Deal's Blackberry Hard Cider. Wow, im a huge fan or hard cider, and Im crazy for blackberries so this was obviously a win. Cant wait for nicer weather and evenings spent on the patio.

This place was so cute! The building is very historical. They have an old vault with paper work from the early 1900s to look at. The drinks were very good. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to hang out and a beautiful view of the capitol and much of downtown Des Moines. Our bartender Jake was awesome! Well worth a visit.

This is SUCH a great spot. I'm surprised more Des Moines folks don't know about it. Yet! Incredible spot for wedding celebrations/rehearsals, birthdays, networking, anything.
The entire crew (pubtenders, brewers/partners) are very laid back genuine people, and provide excellent service and communication.
Definitely looking forward to the market district to finally expand the historical downtown and Ywisted Vine is the first stop!

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at The Twisted Vine and had the absolute best time! The venue is stunning on the inside & outside. The patio makes for the coolest outdoor dance floor/party vibe or a chill happy hour weeknight spot. The crew was so easy to work with & the brewery in conveniently located in the East Village within walking distance of hotels & other restaurants/bars.

Twisted Vine Brewery in Des Moines, Iowa is a fantastic stop for craft beer lovers. On a recent visit, I came specifically to try a couple of their IPAs, and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Big Citra IPA and the Whadda Juicebag 2.0 IPA — both were fresh, aromatic, and bursting with hop flavor. The Big Citra had a bold citrus punch with a smooth finish, while the Whadda Juicebag 2.0 delivered juicy tropical notes that make it a perfect warm-weather beer.
The brewery is housed in a beautiful large timber-frame building that gives off a rustic yet modern vibe. It’s spacious, comfortable, and has a great layout for groups or solo visits. There’s also a nice patio area for those who prefer to enjoy their beer outdoors, which I’ll definitely try next time.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about the beer selection. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind.
If you’re visiting Des Moines and enjoy Iowa craft beer, Twisted Vine Brewery is worth adding to your list. Contacted company as a possible venue for my wedding. 10 days ago, I was informed my date was available. I replied that day asking about reservation prices. Never heard back. I followed up today, only to find out they aren't accepting reservations, after stating my date was available a week ago. Not "sorry we filled the space", not "we will start accepting reservations for that time frame on (insert date or time frame here)".
Just "sorry to inconvenience you" without any reason why a week ago it was something that could be discussed, but now my money and business isnt good enough...
I'm sure no one else will have this experience, but that doesn't seem like the best way to attract customers. I have never been here for anything, but now I never will. Sorry to inconvenience you :)
I found this brewery from Craftapped and from the time I walked in I felt uncomfortable. There was no one else but wanted to hold my CC. The bartender when has 1 person was more focused on his phone. Unfortunately this would be a great venue for lots of things but lacking a lot.
