A very down home place to eat in Wever Iowa! The atmosphere is a local Pub feel without going overboard with high tops, booths, and tables setup. Their pub fare is better than most in the Midwest. Portions are perfect to fill you up all evening without feeling too stuffed. Their burgers are very good, made fresh to order, and their pizzas are always good. The wait staff are stellar! Give them a visit, they're worth a stop just off Highway 61!
Wheelchair accessibility: All flat entry for ease, doors are a bit of a strong pull due to the wind here.

We were new to the area and we were camping at Nauvoo State Park. Someone recommended the Green Bay Bar and Grill in Weaver, IL to us. Thursday night was a 10 oz. Ribeye special, and we were hungry for a good ribeye.
We stepped inside of Green Bay Bar and Grill and seated ourselves. The server came over and took our order. We both ordered the 10 oz Ribeye Special. It came with a salad and baked potato.
We opted for a Caesar salad which was $1 more per salad. Believe me, it was nothing to write home about.
Then after a few bites of our salad, the server brought our steaks out. We didn't even get to enjoy the salad or relax before our meal came.
So now let me tell you about the steaks.
My husband couldn't even cut his with the steak knife. He asked the server for another knife. She brought out two different knives for him to try ......still tough to cut. Then I looked at my steak and it was extremely thin. Surely not a 10 oz steak, but more like a 5-6 oz steak. Called the server over again. Showed the difference between the two steaks and she shrugged her shoulders and said, "It's just the cut". We weren't happy but so be it. The steaks themselves had NO seasoning on them and were flat tasking. Not good from the first bite and on.
The baked potato wasn't flaky at all, but quite soggy as though it had been reheated in the microwave.
Our server brought our bill and said, "I can take $5 off.". $5 off a $46 meal. Oh boy!!!
We will not be back to Green Bay Bar and Grill the next time we go camping at Nauvoo State Park.
Beware of their so-called "Specials". No wonder everyone else we saw was eating a burger or something.

We have the nachos. HUGE and delicious! So big we called it "LUNCH" we both shared. The cheese sauce wasn't spicy with heat and we loved that. We will be back for the Nachos!!!

Unfortunately we were disappointed. The chicken wrap had zero seasoning, the pepperjack bites had no pepper...tasted like mozzarella. One waitress really tried hard...one didnt...our first time and probably last
