Cast Iron on 17th Reviews
Cast Iron is a 10 out of 10 for food.
Inspiring flavors, limited but very interesting offerings, well-crafted, well presented, some of the best scratch-made cuisine in Idaho.
I'm not in love with the kitschy atmosphere, but the food makes up for it and then some.
(Some of these reviews are hilarious. French cuisine is served in small portions. If you are looking for Enormous cheap portions, go to a strip mall !!!)
After waiting patiently for two and a half hours, our food was served cold and undercooked. Terrible quality and a staff that couldn’t care less. Would never recommend. 0 of 5 stars, go anywhere else for better dining. This restaurant will never be recommended, stay FAR away unless you like to have your evening ruined.
Came in hungry Wednesday night and left starving. We had to go to Jaker’s after. The food presentation was very elegant, however, the portions were minuscule at best. The server took our pear sauce as I had the bread in hand to dip, leaving me speechless. Honestly, I wanted to love this place but I can’t justify spending $200 to be starving when I leave.

Cast Iron on 17th offers a delightful culinary experience in a cozy ambiance. The restaurant serves up delicious dishes that are sure to impress, with standout options including the mind-blowing apple and bacon pork, as well as the chipotle raspberry duck and whisky flank steak from the "small plate" menu. With exceptional service and a unique dining experience, Cast Iron on 17th is a must-visit destination. The restaurant has received positive reviews praising the accommodating staff, beautiful table settings, and amazing food. However, some customers have encountered minor issues, such as a noisy neighboring table and a case of food poisoning.
The best appetizer is the bacon-wrapped dates, which are in the perfect individual bites with a taste of perfection. The food is really good, and the restaurant has become an anniversary tradition for some customers. The ambiance is cozy yet upscale, with each chair having its own unique velvet decor, making the space inviting. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, treating customers like close family. Cast Iron Grill also supports the local community, donating and helping three teens to attend a camp this year.
