We have stopped at Los Gavilanes for the last three years while on business trips in the area. It is our favorite restaurant in the Rexburg/Idaho Falls/Blackfoot area. It is not just run of the mill, freezer to table rice, beans, enchiladas, but fresh made, excellent quality food. The seafood is fresh and so delicious! Seriously is the best Mexican food we have ever had.
Give it a 3 just because the only thing good was the food. Service was okay as she didn't check on us often and kept signaling her to our table for things needed. Communication barrier maybe she didn't understand well or not sure. I'm guessing could of checked up on is if we needed any extra condiments, refill or if everything was OK. She was not very much attentive.
Best Carne Asadas in Southeast Idaho. I have tried carne asadas at many different carne Asada tacos and these were the fullest ones I have ever had. Also tried the Flautas, I highly recommend them.
