9th Street Nook

Owner, who was bartending, was so rude and standoffish. Truly the worst service I’ve ever had.

My wife and I have visted The Nook in the past and it was an amazing experience. Last night 7-19-25 we where entertaining some friends and decided to venture away from 8th street and show them the Nook. The bar had a few people in it so getting a spot wasn't hard. That was the best part about this visit.
Our bartender was rude and completely out of it. Not sure what was going on with him but it was very awkward and made my friends feel unsafe. I had already ordered drinks by the time we noticed this. All of our drinks where basically undrinkable. The ladies mentioned the bathroom was one of the most disgusting bathrooms they've ever seen. Other couples leaving mentioned the same thing also the fact they where overcharged.

Good drinks I guess, but the bartender wouldn't change the TV from boring sports interviews when I asked him to. He was very much a no man and wouldn't listen to his customers. Good for y'all if this is the environment you want but I'd rather NOT spend my time with someone who has a clear lack of regard for how his patrons are feeling. Very disappointed in the customer service of this "bar".

Love the Nook, reasonably priced drinks, staff is super kind, and atmosphere is always great. Definitely worth it to at least stop in and grab a drink.

I happened to be stranded by circumstances and could not imagine a nicer place. The beer was cold the people were warm. I could've stayed all night if my wife didn't tell me we had to go. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Trying The Nook out with a "9th & Idaho" cocktail (with Bullet rye, ferret branca, cointreau, cinnamon, and cherry). Super yummy! The Nook has been around for a while, but under new ownership since 2021. The menu has been refreshed, and they focus on cocktails and liquor (although they have wine and beer too). Tonight, David is my mixologist, and he is super nice, talented, and very inquisitive to ensure you have the best drink.
I highly recommend!

Gorgeous and vibrant little spot! I take all my friends here and we’ve all grown to adore it, we always start or end here when we go out. It has such a wide range of options for different tastes and budgets, and the bartender is a doll. He’s friendly, professional, and adds a lot of value to the place. We like that there is games to borrow, wireless chargers available, outdoor seating, and clean bathrooms. For such a small space they have really gone above and beyond. Thanks, Nook. We will spread the word.

Stopped in for a late night cocktail after a night on the town. The bartender was phenomenal! Knows his craft very well! The atmosphere has a great vibe, almost like a speakeasy if it wasn't right off the sidewalk. We sat on the patio and people watched while we sipped our drinks. It was a great experience. A little spendy, and yet completely worth it.

My wife and I and some friends stopped in to the nook and immediately found our new favorite place. 9th St Nook has a very calming and welcoming interior that’s easy on the eyes. The owners are very friendly and are quick to share a laugh and a joke with their customers which is awesome. Great selection of beer, cocktails or whatever you want to drink. I’ve recommended 9th St Nook to everyone asking me where to go in downtown Boise. Thanks yall!

This is my favorite hangs downtown. Great hole in the wall. The owner is a wonderful man. He listens to his customers and will often procure specific alcohols for the regulars after listening to their feedback.They just started serving bloody Mary’s on Sundays. They are fantastic! Jeremy always goes the extra mile.Also it’s worth going just for Jeremy’s special olives.

An elegant establishment if you want a cold drink without all the loud music and people. The Nook is a great spot for one on ones, easy going night out. Whoever decorated this spot did a fantastic job. It's so pretty inside. The decor, the seating, the colors is all truly stunning. If you're looking for a spot to bring your date but don't want the loud bar scene, this is your go to. The bartender that took care of us was great! Highly recommend checking out.
