“One of the best Mediterranean food in Boise even the best! We had 2 plates: one is called Mushakal that includes chicken Shawarma, chicken taouk style (skewers) , hummus dip and salad! Second plate is called Ishtar which includes falafel, lamb kebab, chicken taouk, hummus dip and salad! Both were so delicious and both were served with rice spiced with Safran! Finally we had delicious baklava that was so tasty! I'm sure going back there! Very friendly owner and staff! Nice atmosphere! Fair prices! They have also a shop where you can buy Mediterranean grocery items, bread and other items! It is highly recommended!!!”

“One of favorite places too dine. Sorry no pics. Never think of it until too late. I had the Pho with short ribs. First time ordering. I usually try something different each time. The short rib melted in your mouth. It is a fusion Asian establishment so aside from sounding contradictory, it isn’t what I would consider authentic Pho. If you don’t smell like pho for a day or two, than I consider it American friendly. 🤓. It was still delicious and fresh ingredients. My wife has her staple Kao Sao (so?). Very tasty. The fresh rolls were also extremely fresh. Toffey (sp?) our hostess was awesome. She spent time with us discussing the menu and the chefs talents which we know first hand. Emily, our waitress was attentive and prompt and provided excellent service. We have never had a bad meal or service here.”

“Dine in | $30–50 We hadn’t been to Vincenzo’s in several years and decided to give it another try last night. With the new ownership, the level of hospitality has truly stepped up. We ran about 10 minutes late for our reservation, and when I called, they assured me it was no problem — even though there were people waiting for tables when we arrived. I really appreciated that they still honored our reservation and welcomed us warmly. Our server was attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was just right. The owner, Colton, was engaged with guests, serving, chatting, offering suggestions, and making everyone feel at home. Chef Heidi’s dishes were outstanding. My friend ordered the meatballs (something I usually avoid), but they were absolutely delicious. We also had the fritto misto, zucchini fritters, fettuccine and veal, all fantastic dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate — perfect for a date night. Between the warm hospitality, excellent food, and inviting setting, Vincenzo’s has become a spot we will happily return to.”

“The food is very good. We have tried pizza and salads and both were fresh and very tastey. The on-line ordering is horrible. Yesterday we placed a to go order at 3 pm and was told that it would not be ready to pick up until 7 pm, 4 hours later. That is not unusual and sometimes they stop on-line ordering several hours before closing. They either need more ovens, a better system or discontinue take out orders because on-line ordering for take out is very frustrating and annoying.”

However, this location (fairview by taco bell), the service was awesome! I actually tipped $10 which, I haven't done in 5 yrs due to the service I would get. “California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

“I am so happy writing this review. I am so thankful, and you know that saying, “my faith is restored in humanity”? Well, right now it’s, “My Faith is Restored in Jack in the Box”! Specifically the one on Fairview and Maple Grove.
From the moment I walked in, the energy was good. A vibrant ambiance of people eating or waiting to eat, happily chit-chatting away. This Box was clean and it had that appetizing aroma of delicious food cooking away, which always adds to the experience. Also, it was immediately obvious that there was a professional, efficient crew in the Box today getting it done and moving orders at the desired pace for a fast-food spot. Not to mention they were all wearing Jack’s gear paired with their pleasant, welcoming smiles.
I was wonderfully greeted, so I informed them I ordered on the app... Here is where the real story begins... They hopped into gear and, like magic, I had my order in just a few quick minutes. So I start digging in and, of course, it’s absolutely delicious. Perfect Halfsie Fries and a burger that hit home.
I just had one hiccup, though. It was my mistake. I ordered a promotional burger and added bacon and removed some peppers. I thought I was smoothly wrangling a smoking deal on my favorite burger, the Bacon Cheeseburger... and I was HUNGRY. But when I started eating my burger I noticed it was tiny. I thought I was making this grand bacon cheeseburger with one Big Pattie, but I had just made a really expensive Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger!
I was saddened by this, but I am a positive man, so I allowed my hunger to be the driving force to go to the counter and admit my ignorance and ask if they could do something for me. Take care of a customer, if you will.
So, enter Jeff.
I bestowed this upon Jeff. Jeff then eyeballed me... in an evident, poignant body posture, a stern, inquisitive facial expression, and one very talented eyebrow up, he commenced a keen, well-trained scrutiny... the experienced man began deciphering: a fool's scam or a genuine idiot?
I, also just happy to be out of the blistering heat and suffocating smoke, was standing there before Jeff, all full of hope and a belly not full of enough burger, with a bit of mayo on the cheek and ketchup in the beard and a half-eaten, overpriced JBC in my hand. I obviously had to show him what I was referring to...
And so then Jeff pieced it all together and, thank God, he decided I was the latter of the two possibilities. So he then just asked, “You like ketchup?” — must have noticed the reserves on my face. I replied, “Yup.”
And like that, a Star Employee emerged. An invaluable asset. A Top-Tier Manager. Mr. Jeff shined. He took care of a customer. He saw my mistake, but he also saw what I was going for. And so he made it perfectly. Truly amazing. The bun was perfectly toasted, the condiments in perfect spread, cheese melted gloriously, just perfectly hugging that big, beautiful, warm, juicy pattie. And all beautifully wrapped, might I add. It was like opening a gift on Christmas.
Generally speaking, and I hate to say it, but quite often Jack in the Box leaves you wishing for better... But when you do get a good crew who knows what they are doing and actually cares, Jack in the Box becomes one of the most delicious burger spots out there. You know what I mean. When it hits, it hits. It just slaps. Slaps like you wanna slap... never mind... anyway...
Jeff... THANK YOU SO MUCH. You made my day and you restored my faith in Jack in the Box. The crew also. Jeff, I hope you are reading this. THANK YOU, MAN. I appreciate you and I’m sure a lot of people appreciate you and all of your hard work. I hope your boss reads this also and gives you a raise! 😊 10 out of 10.”

“I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors!”

“Had breakfast this morning at at The Chef's Hut. I had no idea this restaurant was even here. I must say it was such a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, and the decorations were so cool. Wait staff was on point, our coffee was always full. Food came out quickly even though the place was busy. I had the eye opener for breakfast and I must say it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The rest of the food was top notch as well. If you want great food do yourself a favor and head to The Chef's Hut, you won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10.”

“My experience at cactus bar has always been phenomenal but last night really made this one of my favorite bars in Boise. A group of me and my friends were approached by a woman who had clearly had too much to drink and started trying to create a physical altercation out of no where. The cactus staff (specifically Craig) did an awesome job at de-escalating and making sure we were comfortable. The staff and manager checked on my friends and I multiple times throughout the night. The atmosphere at this bar is amazing and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend you check this bar out!”

“I’ve eaten here twice and I’m transported to local bars in Europe that sell tortillas and serve a variety of digestiffs. I love the indie vibe with good music and locals. What stands out is the robust beer menu with n/a’s.
The tortillas with the pimentos is delicious and there must be a new chef because the food tastes like it got a major flavor upgrade. The tortilla soup was filled with flavor and the shredded chicken had a nice pulled pork feel to it thst just melted in the soup. The bread is always delicous to dip and my salad and dressing complimented the juicy and think chorizo that packed flavor and spices. The grilled peppers and the bread was a flavor bomb of deliciousness. The lamb soup was equally great and I loved how all of these dishes complimented each other. I never thought the n/a porter would go good with the meal but it did. The fried balls (I forget the name) were the star of the meal and the buttery, fried goodness would have complimented a nice red wine.
Service was top notch and the servers provided a Boise stellar service that I’ve been raving about in my posts. I love how this bar had locals and locals having fun. I’ll be returning. This time to retry the shishito peppers since they are out.”

From the quaint atmosphere, the kindness of the staff & the excellent food, all amazing. Bingh, our "chef" entertained us with skill including acrobatic eggs, an onion "volcano" and fashioning a large heart for the occasion as he prepared our fried rice. “California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

“This was a really good spot. If you want some quality Italian with a little bit of it's own flair, this is a good choice. This is part of the restaurant group that has all the Coa brands, but it is one of only two I hadn't yet visited. As much as I love Coa del Mar, I wasn't surprised to enjoy this as much as I did.

I had two cocktails All' Aperto and the La Colomba. Both were outstanding, light, refreshing, and complex but didn't feel like they were trying too hard.

Ceasar salad is likely same recipe as other Coa offering, so it was predictably great.

Then there is the carbonara, I didn't add a protein as I wasn't feeling like I could probably even finish it to begin with (I couldn't). When the description mentions egg in the ingredients I was optimistic it would be legit and it was. One thing of note was the pancetta had a really good above average aged flavor when I tried a bigger piece on it's own. Perhaps my favorite aspect of this is that it was creamy and rich but not too heavy or greasy as some carbonara's I have had. Since it is one of my more favorite pasta dishes I have tried it at a lot of places.

The atmosphere is notably more relaxes than say Barbacoa, and more of a nicer cafe feel. Cole, my server was extremely polite, attentive, and has useful notes on the menu.

One final note, pricing was on the more affordable side in my opinion for a quality italian spot and the happy hour is 50% off of cocktails including those I mentioned. Making this a spot I am likely to come back to more frequently as it doesn't break the bank but is still elevated.

UPDATE: Second visit was also awesome, great service and don't sleep on the vodka penne the sauce is delightful and actually has the notes it should (unlike to many that it barely distinguishable from plain marinara)”

I have been back many times now and love the place. The Bartender named Mara makes all the difference in the world. Not only does she know the menu, but she makes amazing cocktails. She knows flavors better than any that serve me there.

The have a fun little menu, games you can play and they play some cool music. It is worth a visit.”

“We celebrated my husband's surprise 50th birthday at The House of The Little Pig, and it was truly unforgettable. Mindie, who was my main point of contact throughout the planning process, did an exceptional job helping bring this celebration together. She made the entire process seamless and stress free.

The service on the night itself was outstanding from start to finish, and our server, Abi, was fantastic. She was attentive all evening without ever being intrusive, striking just the right balance. Our guests, including my husband, were completely blown away by the food, and that's saying something, because even my notoriously hard to impress 16 year old son was raving about it! The prix fixe family style menu was a wonderful way to bring everyone together at the table, and the house made soft serve vanilla ice cream with a salted caramel cookie was the perfect, memorable finish to the meal.
