I used to live in Boston, and worked in Philly and NYC, so I know a good sub. This place is good. But a WARNING!!They have what many in Boise jokingly refer to as "the cheese upgrade". It's not a hard sell, it's literally a soft sell (pun intended). Here's what happens.The menu has no prices. This is basic psychology 101. You're not going to cancel your order at the counter. After ordering your delicious sandwich, and believe me - it will be deeeelicious - you may be asked if you'd like "such and such cheese". It'll be a hard-to-pronounce Italian sounding cheese, and they'll say it really takes your order up a notch or three. The cheese soft sell is worded as if your order comes with it, and you have the option to delete cheese. You say "yeah, let's do it". When you go to pay it's sticker shock and they explain the cheese was special and extra (because psychology 101 = you're too embarrassed to begin with asking "how much" on a busy menu with people in line).The other reviews about bad customer service...I attribute it to the employees' gruff Italian demeanor which is actually quite lovable. Plus they're busy and probably tired of working customer service so when someone has an issue the owner/employee goes a little Raging Bull.Everyone I speak to who goes there - and many do because there's nothing else in the area quite like it - laughs when asked "did you add the $5 slice of cheese?" The $5 slice of cheese is an exaggeration, but there's no denying the workers at Uncle Giuseppes know how to maximize profits.Go. Eat. Enjoy. Just be prepared to know exactly what you're adding to the order.

It's really good.Nothing is salty beyond hell, which is why it's one of my faves.I've had everything on the menu, and the pastrami burger is excellent.P.s.: you won't find chicken on the menu, but it's not that kind of place.Mac burgers? Got em.Meatball marinara? Check.Classic burger? Oh yeah.And all the meat is locally sourced, and has a great flavor.

175 E 35th St, Garden CityWe had a big group that Wepa was able to accommodate with reservations. The hostess was attentive and walked everyone through their questions. Our food was very quick and delicious. I had the garlic sauce shrimp which were to die for.This place is perfect for a quick lunch and in a great location next to two amazing wineries if you need food before hitting another wine tasting. Normally for a group of four or less you can get a table without reservations on a walk in. They also have a bar above the restaurant that I have yet to try!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

We both loved that they have a spicy dip for your pita slices, that was very good... along with everything else we ordered.We also tried the baklava soda, which was so unique and another favorite of ours.It's very rare for us to go to a place more than once, we always like to try something new, but this place will be in the rotation.

Lovely homemade flavorful taste. This was my first time spotting these at Winco, hope they will continue to be sold there. Looking forward to trying other flavors.

The only problem is my food was pretty much being carried off by flies (the flies were terrible inside) and the place was a sticky mess. My friend and I went for lunch and ended up going outside to eat because of the sanitation of the place and the flies. It was at best in being at a pig farm, without the smell of a pig.

9719 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CityThe best brewery in Boise as far as I'm concerned, but I gravitate towards German style beer. I originally visited this brewery years ago specifically because of their dill pickle beer, the Gherkin Gose. I figured if they were daring enough to make a beer like that, which is one of their flagship beers, the other beer must be great as well. I was not disappointed. There are so many beers on tap that could be considered flagship. The atmosphere and the design of the building is fantastic. They also have live music every weekend as well as food trucks. The bartenders are great as well.

3447 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CityThis was our first time at Barrigas. We brought our out-of-town guests, which is always a gamble when going to a new restaurant! We were very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and the food was great! It had lots of great taste and the presentation was also well done. This is definitely a step up from the usual Mexican restaurant that just slaps the beans and rice on the the plate. The portions are very generous. The prices were comparable to other restaurants that serve good quality food. This may become our favorite Mexican Restaurant!

2900 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CitySuch a wonderful and personal venue where they have a wide variety of entertainment. The staff are all so kind and accommodating when we invited last minute guests. The menu is fun and tastes great. Our family loves how the food is so beautifully plated and perfectly prepared. The shows are mostly family friendly so we take our young grandkids (ages 9 to 17) to the shows. They love that there are dance areas and they all dance hard! By the end of the night you will be friends with people around you (if you want). This is our top fun place to go in Boise!

As soon as the check was paid, they stopped asking if we needed more water or anything else. Decided to have another beer and had to wave the wait person down and then they still forgot to bring the drink menu forever. The wait person did end up covering the last round of drinks because of the poor service. I would like to add that they were not busy so it just felt like once we paid, they were kind of done with us. The food and atmosphere is always good and I kind of feel like this was a one off and honest mistake.

Lee handled the customer well and stayed patient. 6748 N Glenwood St, Garden CityMy wife and I love to try new places, and very excited to come across this resturant!We ordered...a bit too much for the two of us because everything looked good :p, including the Greek Sampler and two entrees. We both loved that they have a spicy dip for your pita slices, that was very good... along with everything else we ordered.We also tried the baklava soda, which was so unique and another favorite of ours.It's very rare for us to go to a place more than once, we always like to try something new, but this place will be in the rotation.

3447 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CityThis was our first time at Barrigas. We brought our out-of-town guests, which is always a gamble when going to a new restaurant! We were very impressed. The atmosphere was nice and the food was great! It had lots of great taste and the presentation was also well done. This is definitely a step up from the usual Mexican restaurant that just slaps the beans and rice on the the plate. The portions are very generous. The prices were comparable to other restaurants that serve good quality food. This may become our favorite Mexican Restaurant!

3409 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CityThis is the only place I will go 20 miles off my route to have lunch. The grilled sausage was phenomenal and the smos really hit the spot. Highly recommend Big K BBQ for the best food and great service! Oh and don't forget the desserts, what a sweet way to finish off a great lunch.

3132 W Chinden Blvd, Garden CityOld time steakhouse. Lots of history there. Prime rib and prawns were good. Broasted chicken was great. Had the oyster shooters and the onion rings were great. But favorite had to be the Roquefort dressing ugh I want it all!
