“Absolutely AMAZING tacos! The meat is super juciy and flavorful, tortillas are hand made, and the onions are pickled (might be a preference but it really elevated the flavor and isn’t something you see often). The service was amazing and all of the guys were incredibly nice as well. 10/10 would recommend trying if you haven’t. Will update with pictures the next time I get it (annihilated the tacos before remembering to take a picture)“
“This place is great. We ordered several different items off the menu to try and everything was delicious (ceviche, guac dip, esquites, carne asada, birria tacos). Everyone was happy with their selections. Our server was great. He checked on us, was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff seems so laid back and genuinely happy to be there. It is beautifully decorated, even the outdoor structures were a nice surprise. This was our first time here and we absolutely love it and will be back.“
“It's really hard to find authentic Mexican food in Boise, but Barrigas is the most authentic I can find after 10 years of living here. Their food is good, served on warm plates with great portions, the servers are always friendly, and the atmosphere is clean!“
“This place has THE best burritos around, no competition. His tacos and quesadillas are phenomenal too. Heck, everything on his menu is amazing that we've tried. Every time we travel to Boise we have to go here at least once if not more.“
“Everything tastes homemade and like it was made with love. I'm being so serious. This place should be featured on Food Network at some point. HUGE shout out to the chefs. They are just straight up talented. (Order the al pastor taco plate :)“
“The service is great! My son is texture sensitive and I must say that the marinated chicken tacos is a winner for him. I've tried all the meat on the menu and my personal favorite is tripa.its not bright and is quite for sensory sensitive like my son. this is my place to go to when im in the area you must go check them out the owner is very friendly and sweet.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap friendly low tables“
“Wow! That's all I can say. I've been to El Gallo Giro before, and every time, it has been wonderful. The staff is more than wonderful. Patient, kind, and helpful. The food is great! The decorations make it feel like you're in Mexico. It's very traditional. The floor and the bathrooms are clean. Overall, El Gallo Giro is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Idaho, and it's a family favorite!Vegetarian options: Some members of the family are vegetarian, and they have a variety of foods to choose from.“
“Loved this place!! The atmosphere was colorful and inviting, so fun! There's lots of seating and isn't very loud, a great place to visit with friends. The service was so kind and very helpful. I couldn't decide what to eat and they were kind enough to recommend a dish that ended up being delicious! The service was very efficient, we got our food within 10 minutes.I ordered the #25 Birria tacos with a horchata. The birria tacos were DELICIOUS! If you don't know what to get, this is a great choice. The tacos were crispy with delicious soft meat inside; they paired so well and became so juicy when dipped in the birria. To pull it all together crispy cheese was cooked on the outer tortilla. The horchata was cold and delicious, very authentic! While we waited for our food we had access to a salsa bar with 4 different kinds of salsa and unlimited chips. So good!! The beans and rice were also delicious. If you're looking for a delicious, comfortable, authentic place for Mexican food, this is it!!“
