“Best tacos in the valley, probably best tacos in Idaho. I've had to go to San Diego to get better. And those weren't better, just "on par." Carne Asada and adobada are go-to's. Burritos are the best breakfast or luch deal around.“
“Very nice, can't say enough about the professional friendliness of the staff and their availability and prompt service. The food was excellent, I ordered the seafood molcajete which was had several nice sized shrimp, large scallops, and mushrooms in a wonderful broth full of peppers and onions. It came with a plate of beans and Spanish rice, guacamole, sour cream, a mild pico, and tortillas. It was more than I could eat for $22.99“
“Locals don't know what a special lady, Lorena, is cooking up for you. She can and will make anything. It is a simple truck with a makeshift dining area, but that is the charm because the food is made with love. The lady knows how to make the best beans and rice. I got homesick for my Mexican residence after having a recent meal here.“
“Awesome staff and service, fun indoor dining area. My wife and I enjoyed a game of foosball while we waited. We very much enjoyed the tradicional and Argentina tortas we ordered. Prices were high for a food truck, but the sandwich could easily have made two meals. Also, my horchata was exemplary. We will be back!“
“Tin Roof is a bit of a mixed experience. There breakfast tacos- BOMB. love them. Regular tacos for lunch/dinner - decent. A bit bland. And also a bit on the pricey side considering other taco shops in the near vicinity are cheaper and equal or better quality. If Tin Roof did $1 taco days like some of the other places..(look at Parilla) -you guys would increase volume exponentially. Also, easy on the salt for the chips! Last few times the chips have been almost too harsh due to over salting. I love Tin Roof, and their downtown location is a COOL atmosphere, especially outside. But there is some improvement to be made.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options.Parking: Very very small parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Standard wheelchair accessible“
“The food and service are absolutely phenomenal, every single time! Also, the people that run this restaurant are seriously so friendly. I have a serious addiction to carne asada, and this is my one and only place to get it. Nobody else compares! This image is of my takeout carne asada, and it is half eaten, so it doesn't really do it justice.Treat yourself and dine in for a beautiful, huge plate of authentic food and the friendliest smiles. Although, the takeout is on point as well.“
“Friendly folks and wonderful food as always. If you're looking for authentic Mexican I would definitely recommend this place. The chicken torta is my personal new favorite but my boyfriend always gets their beef burrito. Not to mention the store aspect of it! Just a fun chill place!“
“We eat out all the time. We really like this place. First time there. We will be going here regularly. Great service. The food was the best I’ve had in a long time.Everybody who works there has a smile on their face and treats you wellI had the Mocajate and it was excellent. We also had a nacho for appetizer.Wow, I like this place a lot we drove by and saw all the cars in the parking lot and we made a U-turn“
“Awesome, and reasonable, enchiladas. I had one flour tortilla with GROUND beef (like a savory ground ? soup in tacoRs) and one corn tortilla with cheese and onions. I chose half green (imtomaVegetarian options: You can make almost every single entrée vegetarian in some manner, and because I was there specifically for two things, I didn’t really spend a lot of time looking at the menu. I believe that I have a menu online, we can also order ahead or have delivery and you can always call the store and place an order over the phone to pick up like I did, I’m just ask your questions then.Dietary restrictions: Many ways to make quite few items vegetarian (doubtful vegan, but I didn’t look either).Parking: This restaurant is right on the corner in a strip mall type of set up, so you have parking where you pull up right to the door on two of the four sides.Kid-friendliness: There were many kid items available, all of which appeared to come with rice and beans or some sort of side and a beverage. I appreciate that because a lot of times Mexican food or other cuisines, offer you craft box macaroni and cheese or one simple item, usually some sort of frozen hamburger, so I appreciate there was more of a children’s selection.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking directly by the door, and although I did not see the actual handicap ramp, I know there has to be one since they had handicap parking.“
“I hadn't been to this location since they moved from down the road at what I knew growing up as Shakey's Pizza. The service was really good. Our server was really friendly and courteous. I went during lunch hour service on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded. Actually, it was quiet. I didn't have a big lunch per say. In fact, I chose th an appetizer choice for my lunch. It was still $10+. I'd have to try a dinner to give a fair chance on whether my opinion of the dollar vs quality was fair. This would of course be only my opinion so perhaps try it yourself and see what you think..? You never know until you try it out. It wasn't bad after all ?Parking: Parking spot locations all around area.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible“
“We came in for drinks and the chile relleno dip, but the food was so good and we were having so much fun we decided to stay for dinner. You will not find a harder working, more pleasant staff in all of Boise! Tatum took great care of us and made sure we had a great time. If we lived closer, we'd be regulars!“
“First time visit! Have driven past this little place for years and finally decided to stop in. Glad we did! We had the Creamy Cilantro Chicken taco, Carne Asada Taco, Chipotle Chicken taco and Chicken Enchiladas. The flavor of the Chicken and the Cilantro sauce are top notch. The portions on the Enchilada plate with the pinto beans and rice were great as well. The inside of the restaurant could use a little help, but it is clean. We will be back!“
“Everything tastes homemade and like it was made with love. I'm being so serious. This place should be featured on Food Network at some point. HUGE shout out to the chefs. They are just straight up talented. (Order the al pastor taco plate :)“
“If you want some bomba** authentic Mexican street food- this is it right here! I promise you! We got two of the street tacos- carnitas (pork) and asada (beef)- both FRKN GOOD and the best of it was the quesabirria! Wow wow! It’s made with res (shredded beef) and delicious consommé and the cheeeese! Just wow! And yes- their salsas have a beautiful kick to it! Trust- you want to stop here! (I’m from Houston, TX and we know tacos y’all) Oh oh! And before I forget- this place has seating! They make the food in their food truck outside and have seating inside the building that it’s parked in!“
“I must say, food and service were pretty good for lunch. The things I ordered were,, taquito bites for an appetizer, and I really like that the dish comes with their cheese sauce that they are known for I personally found the cheese sauce to be a good addition since the dish itself was bland without it, and for an entrée, I ordered chile verde and while the waitress was friendly, right after she brought my food, she brought my bill to the table and normally I wouldn’t mention anything about this but, every time I’ve gone, they’ve always brought my bill to the table as soon as I got my food delivered, which makes me think, that they’re probably trying to rush people to get out which doesn’t give people a chance to order anything else after their entrée has been delivered in my opinion“
“The best tacos in town, also Great market. I will never say no to adelitas. Maybe I'll have you cater my wedding lol.Update: just moved to nampa and won't be able to come as often anymore, still my favorite taco place ever. Came to celebrate moving out and it was amazing. Even my dad who moved years ago still says it's his favorite“
“The food and atmosphere are phenomenal. My expectations were exceeded and the barrio margarita was one of the absolute smoothest I have had. I did not have the opportunity to try any additional drinks but to have amazing food and drinks, yes please. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the amazing experience! I ordered the chips and guac with salsa, quesabirria, and steak quesadilla. All completely wonderful!“
“I preordered pork and chicken tamales for Christmas Eve dinner. I went to pick them up and they were hot and ready. The gals were so friendly and accommodating. My family raved about these tamales. Especially the pork. One even said they were the best he'd ever eaten. I will agree. They had a good amount of meat and the masa was not dry. The green sauce was delicious. I will be ordering these tamales again and would like to try the chile rellenos as well. Thank you Ladies for making my Christmas Eve Dinner a hit. Throw some business their way. You won't regret it.“
“First time at this location. The gentleman with the tortillas was a little rude/short when he asked for my order, so I told him, and his response was, "Just give me a number. " Other than that, tacos were good. The female who was also our cashier was really nice. The bartender was super friendly, still coming back to check out evening time. Their music was great! Urban hip hop, reminded me of my college days.“
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken Flauta plate ($10.99) from Taqueria La Flama in Boise for to-go lunch. I like they have a drive-through window. The service was fast and efficient. The chicken flautas, rice and beans, were excellent. I liked that the flautas came with sour cream and guacamole. The guacamole was very good. I added both red and green salsa to my flautas. Both were very good. The vibe inside is fast food. This used to be a KFC. But it’s real made from scratch Mexican food, including beans with lard. If you like tacos, they are very well known for their Carne Asada in particular. Highly Recommended!“
“I got the 5 chicken taco meal. The tacos ARE SO DELICIOUS!! The service was friendly. The food was ready fast. My husband got the chipotle chicken tacos with pinto beans and coleslaw. The pinto bean side was whole beans - not refried. The salsa bar was perfect. And our meal was affordable! I am still sitting in the restaurant- I am so pleased with this place that I didn’t even want to wait to review.“
“Been coming here for years. Never once had a bad experience. The only less-than-perfect thing I can say about this location is that they are understaffed; but so is everyone else. Great food, fast service, friendly staff, and great prices. There's nothing more to ask for besides maybe some tacky Instagram dessert?“
“This taco time to be exact ???.. eazy off/on the freeway! Very decent, an very clean! Even the restrooms were clean! That's a plus in my books!!? My taco ? an tots was fresh !!! My crisp bean burrito was too!! Upon walking in they greeted us with a smile!?“
“Wonderful food, fixed fresh to order (guacamole fixed only when it’s ordered!), and it’s a great value. We both had the salad w asada, and it’s a full meal. We added a couple of tamales (made that day) and they were delicious. The presentation is well done - you don’t think about that from a truck, but it reflects her dedication to quality.“
“The servers were extremely friendly. They were definitely on their game They had my drink filled before I even asked for one I didn't have to look up and they had a refill for me which is hard to find nowadays so thank you kudos to the employees.“
“We eat at this place at least once a month. They are usually packed but still we never have to wait for a table if we come before 6pm. We typically order margaritas first, which they serve in huge glasses, and are delicious. As for the foods, I have never had a bad meal there, everything is consistently good and well prepared. Service is friendly and they don't mind when I try to practice my rusty Spanish with them. This is really one of our go to places in Boise for a wonderful meal in a relaxed setting.“
“Everything made fresh to order. Great selection of meats to choose from and lots of different sauces and salsas as well. Chips were delicious. Food was very good, and the portion size was decent for the price. The restaurant was super clean inside, and the bathrooms were clean as well. Would definitely go back here again to eat.“
“We've been coming here for years and it is always great! The food is consistently tasty with generous portions at a VERY reasonable price. I personally love the tacos, my wife the enchiladas. We definitely recommend grabbing lunch here.During the day, you're likely to be greeted by the owner himself, who impressively remembers faces and favorite orders. This is a fast casual place that is popular with local businesses at lunch time.“
“The last time I went, I got the Idaho Burrito. This is one of my favorite burritos I've had, and it's one I recommend.I also love their Steak Ranchero! I always have a meal left over with how much food you get. The only thing I wish this place has is Huevos Racheros.5/5 stars“
“Definitely a nice place to visit on a warm day or night. Having the location be in the basement adds to the traditional cantina feel and vibe. Food was great with plenty of options, makes me want to go back and try more. Located in Hyde Park which enhances the natural atmosphere.“
“Wonderful, service is perfect, food is delicious, they have live music on Friday's 6-8. Jason was our server and he was excellent. Thank you.Vegetarian options: They have menu options but they are happy to accommodate any special requests. They are great at it. Just tell them what you need and if they can they will accommodate it.“
“It's a nice little place with delicious tacos. The menu is standard fare for a taco shop, but everything is better than expected. The food is not drowning in grease, it's closer to a good corner taco stand you might find anywhere in Mexico compared to the Americanized or "taco nouveau" counterparts you find around Boise. The service can be confusing. Is it a sit-down restaurant? Do you order at the counter and wait at your table? If you are here with a date, do they have table service? Why did they make everything up like a doordash order when I was dining in? It doesn't make the tacos taste different, but I would have liked some real silverware. The ambiance is clean and modern with a bit of the south-of-the-border flair, and they have an actual bar that appeals to the drinker in me.As of this writing, 13th Street is blocked off, but they are still open but a little more awkward to access. Parking will be impacted.“
“This is some really great creamy ice cream made in house. Enjoy it. So glad we have a spot like this in town. I wish there were more flavors without artificial color but it's not a deal breaker. You'll enjoy ice cream with the family if you pop in.“
“Great food, as always. But it is too bad they no longer have fresh salsa. And the eating area is always nearly empty and (maybe because it is) way too cold. I understand how having it low seems to be the perfect temperature for the staff working busily over their hot grills, but perhaps having two thermostats so customers can be comfortable might be worthwhile.“
“REAL SOCAL MEXICAN FOOD!!It really is sad how hard it is to find GOOD Mexican food in Idaho. This place NAILS IT!In SD everyone knows the best places are south of the 8.Had the Adobada burrito and a large horchata and I thought I was back in Spring Valley. We'll be coming back many times.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by this quick order spot in the airport. I have never been any of their locations before. Our ride got stuck in traffic so we had some time to kill after our flight. This spot is pre-security so we were able to come back in and grab a bite to eat. We ordered three beef tacos and a chicken burrito and both were actually very good. The beef was substantial size chunks and surprisingly very tender. The chicken was tender as well and had a hint of spice in the seasoning. The flavor was great, the toppings were fresh, and the service was awesome! Luis was super friendly and was working hard to help everyone out since he was the only one out front. He was patient and had a great attitude with everyone. We’ll definitely stop again if we need to grab a bite at the airport!“
“Why do people not come here! This place is one of those that wouldn't be top of your list to go to, but once you come here, you realize how much you actually like it. The service is great. It's always really clean in here. This place is a cheaper chipotle. And their cups are waaayy better than chipotle. Seriously. Perfect texture. I am a super fan of the Baja bowl. Rice, black beans, chicken.... All the toppings. Chips, salsa, cheese, and a drink. Less than $14. Like what the heck!! Come get you some. A downside was that my chicken wasn't as hot as it should be. Definitely should be at a hotter temperature.“
“Fantastic food (Vegan Soul) and the bar in the center has some great options. Not a fan of the art studio personally (think it belongs somewhere else).Vegetarian options: Vegan Soul might be the only plant based option here, but they fortunately more than make up for it. They really should encourage more of the places to develop/add some options.“
“My daughter and I had burritos, tacos and stuffed mexi fries. All three tasted very good. Chicken Ranchero burrito is always good, just needs a little sauce. Service was excellent. Got our food fast. Both men at the front were friendly.“
“The food and overall atmosphere was great for Sunday brunch, but apparently they employ a DJ to play music on Sundays during brunch which is so loud, it was extremely difficult to carry on a conversation let alone enjoy your meal. My ears are still ringing. My friend and I weren’t the only people in the restaurant requesting the volume to be decreased. Brunch should be a relaxing atmosphere, not feeling like you are at a night club….“
