“Driving through Boise, we searched up a place to eat and stumbled across this one; it’s a market and restaurant and the food was really great; we had the lamb kabob and tikka kabob sandwich;
The humus was amazing; the sandwich could have used a bit more sauce
We asked for the fries to be extra crispy and they didn’t disappoint!!“

“Wow, what an awesome place. Best falafel I have tasted. Love the little booths. The waitress was so caring and genuine. Rare find, amazing food coupled with caring people. I will definitely be going to Tarbush again.
Vegetarian options: Falafel, eggplant dish, hummus but also they are so accommodating. You won't be disappointed.
Dietary restrictions: Waitress was very aware of ingredients and made sure to suggest alternatives“

“The best menu I’ve found in Boise for gluten free options. The food was excellent! We had the chop ion soup, ahi blackened salad and salmon fillets. I can’t say when I’ve enjoyed a meal away from home more! And the portions, they were just right!“

“The last 5 years my husband and I have made this our go to restaurant for Afghani and Mediterranian food. Best naan in town--chewy, thick and flavorful. Service is excellent as always. Portions are generous. Our favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Sauce is truly exceptional. We'll keep going back as we have the last 5 years. 10 out of five“

“So delicious! The food got to our table quickly and was phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered white and red lamb tibs and black and red lentils and loved it. The injera wasn’t too sour, as it was in a different Ethiopian restaurant me and my family have been to. Very good and would definitely go there again.“

“I love everything about this sushi restaurant. The wait staff are always friendly and on top of it. It's all you can eat for a ridiculously reasonable price the food has always been fresh in the sushi is customizable when eating the all you can eat.
I also love that their names are based off of the pop culture movies and I always end up eating to the point where there is physical pain involved, but that's also never stop me from going back.“

“So glad we found Lost Shack! Tried it for the first time last Saturday and we were thoroughly impressed. The Islander poke bowl was excellent but our server's suggestion to add the crispy crab salad put it over the top. My wife got the teriyaki chicken and both dishes were as good as anything we've had in our two trips to Oahu. We love the Lost Shack!“

“Overdue review. Echoing others -- very, very good.
Fresh cut, hand cut vegetables. Gracious service, attention to detail -- like ultra-filtered water -- and nice atmosphere.
I found the buffet plentiful, kept fresh, and piping hot, nothing over- or under-cooked, and delicious. The sauces inherent in each dish are flavorful, authentic, not watered-down; each nutritious in itself, with herbs potent medicinally.
The senior-most owner is kind and ethical, and cares like a trusted uncle or grandparent, visiting guests, hopeful each guest has what's needed, taking action to ensure this.
I recommend Bombay Grill for atmosphere, food, kindness, and accessibility...serving the Valley, even those with sensitivities physical, dietary...even the toddler in my midst.“

“AMAZING doesn’t even begin to explain the food and service here. Chen is an amazing chef! He even brought my 4 year old 2 egg rolls and some fried rice for no charge. Kung Pao Chicken & House Noodles were so so good!! Will definitely be back!“
“This might be the best brewery in Boise. I tried three today. This is the only one that wasn’t just 18 IPA’s with one dark beer. They had an awesome mix of everything. IPA’s, sours, stouts, ale’s, tripel’s, pilsners, an Irish nitro stout. If you can think of it, they probably have it. This is the best spot I’ve found on my whole trip.“

“I stopped by here on recommendation and wasn't expecting the food quality I received. The tuna sandwich was fantastic. The bread was so excellently crunchy and buttery. And the tuna had just a hint of lemon. And the chips and salsa were more than just pub food. I would move to Idaho for this place. I will be back!“

“The Modern Hotel is a true Boise spot, with one of the better, more unique, more high-end and innovative food and drink offerings, and also a great spot for events. With an indoor dining area, as well as an outdoor dining area with firepits, and where some musical and performance events are held, it is a cheerful spot, tucked away in downtown Boise, that you might not find out about for a few trips in.Absolutely worth a spot: Always check in on the drink specials, and soak up the great design, presentation, and friendly staff.“

“Today's lunch adventure is at Longhorn Steakhouse for my mom and nephew's birthday. Our party was a good size so the hostess was kind and put a couple tables together for us. The gal who served us today was great! She got bread out to us really fast and took our drink orders. Everything ran really smoothly with her with the delivery of drinks and the ordering of dinner. I appreciate how she chronologically took our orders so everyone was organized. Food came out perfectly to the right person.
For lunch today I ordered a bowl of the French onion soup and the salmon. We did start off with a warm loaf of bread. It was crusty on the outside and so soft on the inside. The butter that came with it was so good. My French onion soup came out hot and cheesey. There was a good amount of onion and the broth was rich in color. Unfortunately, I had to send back the soup. It was too salty to consume. I had a few bites and had to stop. It was overwhelming salty. As much as I would have loved to eat it, I just couldn't. My salmon came out perfectly browned. The glaze on the salmon was flavorful. My two sides I got was broccoli and asparagus. The asparagus pieces were huge and tender. They tasted fresh. The broccoli was steamed nicely as well and had a hint of lemon to it.
We ended our meals with some birthday ice cream that our server kindly gave to our birthday peoples. She creatively wrote on the plate for them. It was nice to have such a great server for our dining experience today.“

“Paddles Up has held a special place in my stomach for years. I could and would (but probably shouldn't) eat a bowl of theirs everyday because everything is always fresh, made how you want, and delicious!
Vegetarian options: Instead of any fish, you can do a tofu poke bowl/burrito. They also have zoodles.“

“This is a great place to eat!! The drinks were fantastic and the service was excellent! We met for a large party, our waitress attended to all of our needs very well!
I had the Chimi Flank Steak and it was delicious. It came with two sides, and I got the French fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were a little overdone, but not too bad.
This place had a great vibe to it, this location is in the Hip part of town but it was a fun place to gather.
Overall, definitely stop by if you’re looking for a place to eat!“

“Visited from out of town. I think I got the menu from the Mad Swede restaurant down town mixed up with this. The Mad Swede on Cole Street is a tasting room. The lady working the bar was super knowledgeable and helpful. Phenomenal selection. No food. But! There was a food truck outside that could bring inside. We were lucky to have the Nomadic Oven there that night. Best pizza crust we’ve had! Not the experience we thought we were going to have, but still highly recommend! No regrets! If you’re like is and staying in the hotels right near by, don’t hesitate to try!“

You created yet another lifelong customer with your surprise spoiling! Thanks so much!“

“Edit: Hey guys, god job like I said but going back to Mahi Mahi would be a 5 star cause they were so good! I'm sure costs are up, so increase the price as necessary. Advertise the type of fish on your menu too, that helps. Or try halibut or swordfish? Nobody wants bottom feeder fish tacos.
Great chips, Habanero salsa is on point, Fish tacos were good (Mahi Mahi, now catfish). Shrimp tacos good but can't verify they devein them. Pretty good overall.“

“VERDICT: Best breakfast joint in Boise, bar none regarding food quality. They nail the classics and positively innovate for new hits. (Caveat: parties should be 2-4 people for best results.)
FOOD: I've eaten a large swath of the menu and can tell you, their cooks are top-notch. Their technique on their eggs is perfect everytime, with no crisp fringe or undercooked spots. The sausage (andouille) is butterflied and properly browned on the surface while remaining juicy. Their potatoes (Peps) balance crisp surface with consistently soft interior and delicately seasoned so as not to blow out other flavors of the crisped cheddar or green or red pepper fried with the potatoes. They carry the crisp without the excess grease. As for the coffee, they serve Dawson Taylor's Backcountry Blend, a medium-light roast blend that blooms harmoniously with the savory of the meal. P.S. The pancakes are not a peripheral here, but are quite enjoyable in their own right. They are light, sweet, and compliment a savory breakfast here.
SERVICE: Always the best here. The fact that they keep one server for food and the other for seating and drinks makes for never an empty glass. I will say, it's a bit slower than some places for receiving your food (think 20-30 min to receive your order) but coffee or mimosa (or bellini) to punctuate conversation makes the time waited quite a pleasant experience. (Speaking of, these drinks are all quite delicious and well worth it).
ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere carries the vibe of a bustling breakfast joint, but in a good way. It is alive with energy that doesn't undercut the intimacy of the place. With that said, this place is best for groups 2-4 people and no more unless you're willing to wait. (Popular times such as brunch will result in a wait of ~45 min for 2 persons, based on my dozen or so visits.)
REVIEW BELOW 4 YEARS OLD, BUT DIFFERENT DISHES
For all my breakfast cravings, Goldy's remains my fix. From their stellar Eggs Blackstone (eggs Benedict on ham, tomato, fried egg and English muffin) to their delectable andouille sausage, there's not a dish that will disappoint. Their real superiority to other places shines in their regular pot coffee here. It's Dawson Taylor's Backcountry Blend, a premium blend of light and medium beans roasted right here in Boise for optimum freshness. Just know you may have to wait (depending on time of day, 20 min or so for party of 2) and parties of greater than 4 will have quite the wait time (probably 40 or more). Goldy's is always worth the wait, though.“
