“My wife and I just moved to Star from Orange County, CA. We've been exploring local eateries. Today, we came here, based on Google reviews.

It is a food truck/trailer located off Main Street in the NW corner of the Star Merc parking lot. The woman that owns/runs it is most likely originally from Mexico. There is an umbrella and picnic table out in front of it, but you will most likely want to do take out.

Their specialty seems to be their tacos. They are street taco size, so I would recommend three to be satisfied. They use double tortillas, and offer pollo, asada, carnitas, and Chicharrón (for $.50 more). At $2 a taco, I think it's a good deal.

Unfortunately, when we arrived around 3:30, they were out of carnitas, which is my wife's favorite. Apparently, they had a rush on them today (note to self: come early). So we had a combination of the other three. The meat could have been seasoned a little more, but they were definitely tasty.

We will definitely be back. As former lifelong Southern Californians, we love good Mexican food. Here at Tacos Colima, we think we've found it.“

“Is not your typical Tex Mex restaurant. I would say this is more of a traditional/authentic Mexican market. They have meats and cheeses along with freshly cooked Mexican food.
I like the restaurant food there. Especially the birria de chivo.
They also have a couple stores within the building. They have the fruits/ice cream and the panadería.
Overall they have a great selection of Mexican goods.“

“The chips and salsa, food and deep fried ice cream is AMAZING! The customer service at the Meridian location was EXCEPTIONAL!! The owner Speedy is so amazing! He was so friendly to my two year old son and made sure we had everything we needed. Our waiter Andres was so wonderful as well and was so attentive. I’m pregnant and was craving their salsa and he made sure my salsa cup was always full and that we were happy. The prices are so reasonable there; it’s definitely one of my favorite places to eat and I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with this place!“

They are way too low you can not see past all the people. I suggest move the surfboard and hang them there right above where they prep the food it would be so much easier to read :)“

“Definitely a 5 star. Probably a 9.2 out of 10. I started with 2 Adobada, 2 Carnitas and 2 Chorizo, finished those and had to go and order 2 more, Cabeza and Adobada. They're all so good. Tortillas are good and all the meat was fantastic. Red and green salsa was fine, not amazing but very standard and complimentary to the delicious tacos. One table with an umbrella or front, parking at the shop or behind the truck. Fast and well priced ($2.50 a piece). The only downside is it's right off Garrity which makes the street noise a bit much to really Talk and conduct business. But for a quick to-go meal, this is fantastic.“

It isn't often that I'm really impressed by how intense and flavorful dishes are at a restaurant, but WOW! they really know how to create combinations of savory, sweet, and sour to really light up your palette! The guacamole was delicious, my sister thought it was probably the best she's ever had. It has bold lime with a nice hint of chilies seasoning that really made it pop. The Aguachile Verde was a completely new experience for me, lime-cooked-shrimp with chunks of avocado and a sauce bursting with flavor, served with a side of nice crunchy tostadas. The shrimp isn't your typical orange cooked shrimp, so be prepared for a different look and mouth feel, but the taste was incredible! My sister had the Berries and Cheese Salad with mango dressing (sadly they were out of chicken, but she thoroughly enjoyed it as it was) which she thought was amazing and said she would order ahead and pick it up and on way home from work in the future. I washed it down with a lime Jarritos which really tied all of the lime flavors together. The serving sizes were great, we both left full and unable to finish everything, even the guac! The waitress was very friendly and down to earth - she even asked what our preference in music was since we were the only ones in there at the time. The atmosphere is pretty chill, the music was pretty loud, but I think they were gearing up for the evening crowd. I think this is really a hidden gem for Nampa and the Treasure Valley, I haven't heard of anyone else offering a menu that specializes in food this fresh, prepared in-house, almost all GF/V, with almost all of it being ceviche (lime-cooked) instead of heat cooked! Come for the flavors, they were amazing!“

“Enjoyed a nice quiet dinner for Labor Day. Amazing service constantly checked on to see how everything was going. Food was delicious and the lime added to my beverage was well appreciated. Music was playing but wasn't loud just enough to hear it to prevent the silence. Would recommend. Salsa Verde and a roasted jalapeño was requested with the meal and that was happily supplied.“

“Melissa took great care of my father and I. My dad loves hispanic cuisine, me not so much. My father had the Burrito Especial and I had their Cantina Burger, that is one of the best burgers I've had in years. Between the excellent service and outstanding food, I'd highly recommend a visit to one of Cafe' Ole's 2 locations.“
