Ice Cream Shops near Garden City

“We stopped by Big Bun Drive In for the first time today, and I have to say, this place is firing on all cylinders!

The server at the counter was fantastic. She took the time to walk us through the menu, answer our questions, and make some amazing recommendations. You can tell the staff genuinely wants you to have a great experience.

Then the manager, Elaina, came out to check on us and see how everything was. She even asked if we’d be willing to try their hand-battered fish and give her some feedback to make sure they’re getting it cooked to perfection. That says a lot about how much pride they take in their food.

And the food? The Baldy Burger was freaking AMAZING! 🍔 The fries and onion rings were spot on, too.

But here’s what really stood out to me: I’ve been to places with incredible food but terrible service. I’ve been to places with great service where the restaurant itself just isn’t cared for. And sometimes everything is good, but the vibe just isn’t there.

Big Bun gets it all right.

The restaurant was spotless, the food was fantastic, the staff was welcoming and genuinely helpful, and the overall atmosphere just felt right. It’s not often you find a place where the food, service, cleanliness, and hospitality all come together like they did today.

This was a home run. ⚾

“Ice cream that reminds me of everything important in life, of everything that I lost and all that is to come tasted freezer burned but reminded me of life’s disappointments and how your life can be a disappointment but still sweet this place is a disappointment but it’s better than nothing or something that’s bad. “Well I have to say the AI voice was a first for me. Being hearing impaired makes the choice of a female voice an issue. Male voice in a lower tone is better for being understood by hearing impaired. My order was messed up as it didn't understand I wanted 2 heath blizzard and kept adding another one. I didn't complain about it. But I would suggest you guys work on this as it's not up to the task currently and the voice is hard for some of us to understand. A confirmation screen would help a great deal. Food was good.“

“I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors!“

“Just the most precious sweet place in the world probably. The Oreo sundae that Amber made me was like a dream in a glass, if I had to live in a cup of ice cream it would be this one. There are so many candies and chocolates I feel like I need to come here every week to try more and every week it would be worth the 16 hour round trip. Also never have I ever seen a harpy eagle plushie or a mouse with a pizza cape. Stunned and ecstatic.“

I used Mojo's to cater a graduation event and they were super on the ball, gave us good pricing for buying in bulk, the donuts were fresh and delicious, the service was exceptional, the donuts came on catering trays, so we could just lift the lids off and were able to just serve them directly from the trays, so it made our event food easy! We had several people comment on how delicious the donuts were at the event as well, and I would have to wholeheartedly agree. 5 stars for sure!“

We tried most of all ice cream stores in treasure valley and I would say this is one of the best with different flavours than normal ice cream stores. We tried “Pineapple Mango Guava” ice cream and we liked it.“

“Last night (July 24, 2025), our peaceful Idaho Israel Alliance meet-up at Push & Pour Coffee on S. Latah St. was disrupted by a group of aggressive anti-Israel agitators. Though we had notified the café in advance and were simply enjoying our first monthly gathering, these individuals showed up shouting hostile slogans—including “death to Israel,” “death to the IDF,” and “you aren’t welcome in Idaho”—while repeatedly trying to provoke a confrontation. Despite our calm and respectful conduct, the café employee asked our group—not the disruptors—to leave, stating, “We don’t support your cause and you aren't welcome here.” We complied without fuss. The agitators remained until Boise Police arrived and professionally trespassed them from the property. We’re sharing this because no one should be harassed or removed from a business for meeting peacefully—or for being Jewish, which is exactly what this felt like. We thank Boise PD for their respectful handling of the situation and remain committed to civil discourse, mutual respect, and the freedom to assemble.- IIA.“
