Understaffed like many places these days. Most of the staff on the front end were cold fish. Took several minutes before the bartender saw us. To seat us he walked quickly past a table, tossed menus on it and kept on walking. And he was the friendly one. Solid is a nice place to grab a late night meal. The staff was very nice and communicative about what time the kitchen closes and about staffing if they are short. They staff is knowledgeable of what spirits they have and drinks that are in season and popular. As well as their house BBQ for their chicken wings is a must. The atmosphere is quite nice and the prices are reasonable. Our group had mixed review about the food quality. The pear salad and kimchi fries were outstanding. The hamburger was quite good but the shrimp and grits were so greasy and overcooked as to be a waste of good food. The service was fine and the waiter was a great communicator about when our food would be arriving. Overall, a B- experience compared to other Boise restaurants.
