Dined there with a friend yesterday for the first time. We both had the beef and rice and shai—I also tried a piece of the sweet cake. The shai was rich, sweet, and had so many complementary flavors. It was warm and soothed the body and mind. The beef and rice were first such big portions I just finished the other half for lunch today! Again, the food was rich, hearty, flavorful and felt like a home I’ve never been to. The textures were lovely, the flavors so nice together. The cake was a light and lovely treat after the rich food and with the rich shai. We also had a long, spirited conversation with one of the sons. Definitely will go back.
