“This place is a steakhouse at the highest level. It reminded me of Bern's steakhouse in Tampa, minus the dessert room. Our server and his team were excellent and guided us through ordering something we'd enjoy. The bar made a fantastic Old Fashioned and the overall whiskey selection is solid. The Idaho potato was a treat. They took very good care of me and my gluten, dairy, and pork allergies to make sure I didn't eat anything that would cause me discomfort. Highly Recommend this steakhouse for anyone who lives in Boise or is visiting and wants a special night out.“

Hyde Park Fine Wines Wine Bars •
1304 W Alturas St, Boise

“My husband and I have been going to Hyde Park Fine Wines for a little over a year now and could not have asked for a better wine shop to call home in Idaho. The expertise of the staff in combination with their selection and helpfulness makes it a perfect place to find just the right wine, try something challenging, or stay a while with a delicious glass to sip through. If you're looking for something that you think may be too difficult to find in this state, don't give up hope before you talk with Scott and Travis. It's amazing what they can get their hands on.Love love love this place and cannot recommend it enough“

“This is such a unique spot in Boise. They have free popcorn and always interesting beers on tap. Lots of boardgames, ping pong and places to sit. Always able to find a spot. You can hear what people are saying the music is not too loud. Fun decor theme as well. Great lowkey spot.“

“We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the shop and he personally sat us at a table. The setting of the restaurant was neatly organized, the tables had amazing presentation, candles were lit, and it was a great setting for a date night. The food was absolutely amazing! Our salad and soup were delicious and very fresh. The main course was the best steak I have ever eaten. It was so tender and flavorful. It was a perfect portion and also came out garnished and looking amazing. The dessert was delicious and homemade. The wine pairing was perfect and the owner personally came around to pour and check on us. The chef came out to meet everyone. He was kind and talked about the menu items as well as the menu for the next weekend meals. He was a lot of fun. I cannot wait for the next weekend dinner because it was a perfect evening!!!“

Les Bois Wines Wine Bar •
813 W Bannock St, Boise

“This is the BEST place in Boise to try new wines. For the adventurous, every week there is a completely new menu of wines. Offered as either by the glass or a full tasting journey. The venue is unstated to allow for some time with friends. Be aware this is a tasting bar, not a restaurant. The owner is absolutely dripping in vino knowledge and is an impeccable guide into wines normally not assessable in the valley. If you find a personal gem, full bottles are available for purchase. This is an easy five stars, on the way for the forbidden 6-star realm if they were able to get a chef in-house for nibbles/snacks.“

“Idaho food is generally lacking unless you are going to a diner. Customer service is surprisingly missing as well- especially considering the friendly nature of Idahoans. This place gets top marks on both. Would highly recommend this place. I’ve been here twice and both times exceeded my expectations.“

“I don't even recall when I first stayed at this hotel, maybe 2012. I've been back many many times since. The Modern is always the first and/or last stop of my ski season travels. Coming or going, you will find me enjoying a cocktail at the modern bar after a long drive. Given its tiny size and location in a boutique hotel far enough off the main drag to be inconvenient, it's always packed. Kind of the place to be seen in Boise. The drinks are awesome and the food is excellent. If you're a guest of the hotel, their complimentary breakfast is superb ... How many places have you stayed where a bacon fritatta is a breakfast choice? None, that's how many.“

Tastings Wine Bars
2447 S Apple St, Boise

“Tastings is a beautiful locally owned wine bar. Their food is great also, and I love the nights that they have live music. It really is a hidden gem and I will keep coming back for the beautiful, intimate atmosphere and great wine selection. I do wish that the two ladies that work there, one of whom is the owner, were more friendly. That is the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars, and I think more people would visit the shop if they were warmer.“

“Visiting Boise for a week, I did t expect to find this wine and sushi bar. I’ve seen similar concepts in other cities, but the variety and diversity in their wine taps is excellent. Once you get your work e tap car with money on it, just try the wines you like. Pay for sips or pay for pours with the card. Their happy hour selection was ok, but everything else was fantastic. Love the set up, ambiance and charm. Staff was really friendly and attentive. We ordered some sushi and a few other appetizers to snack on while we enjoyed a lot of wine. I’m definitely coming back for dinner to try more from the menu .“
