“This was my first time in after trying to hunt down some authentic Korean food. I've tried a couple notable spots around town, and yet somehow I haven't heard of this place until today. I went in and was immediately greeted by a very kind and charismatic lady with a nice conversation (a genuine conversation not a 'customer service' conversation). I ordered the Korean pancake, the Korean 50/50 corn dog, a mild heat Tokbokki and two of their milk drinks. Only waited about ten minutes but it was no issue because the ambiance was very enjoyable. Once I got my food, I went home to eat it and I'll just say this: I took one bite and one thing led to another and I ended up scarfing the whole meal down in under 5 minutes. It was absolutely delicious and very impressive. Once I tried the pancake and realized it was stuffed with a whole slew of sweet and nutty ingredients I couldn't help but smile. Incredibly delicious and well made/executed authentic street food at reasonable price with very generous portions. Needless to say the assortment I ordered didn't stand a chance. 10/10 will definitely become a regular customer“
“I'd give Funky Taco 5 stars for the food, but 2 stars for the service. Just about every time I've been there, I've been met with bad attitudes and made to feel like my presence is an annoyance and inconvenience to the hostess(es). You might think I'd done something to provoke them, but I am a friendly and polite person. I haven't experienced this behavior or attitude at any other Boise establishments. That said, I still go there on occasion for their vegan nachos. They offer a few great vegan options. And the restaurant itself has a cool vibe with good music.“
“This is by far the best Mongolian restaurant in the Valley! Just remember more sauce lol You will understand when you go and try this delicious meal served with rice.Vegetarian options: Tofu huge vegetable selection many saucesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We ordered the burger, the grilled cheese and a sushi roll to share. Food came out super fast and was fresh. The burger was perfectly cooked on a soft Hawaiian style bun topped with a pickled cucumber salad, but neither one of us liked the hoison sauce and it over powered the whole burger. The sushi was just ok, similar to higher quality grocery store sushi. The winner for the night was the grilled cheese with candied bacon and shishito peppers. It came on thick Texas toast and was served with thin crispy garlic Parmesan fries. Delicious greasy crunchy slightly sweet. I would def go back for that.“
“Love love love this place!! The food is outstanding and the service is always great too! We order take out fairly often but also like to bring our friends to dine in. So many great menu items! The Korean Beef Tacos, Beef Chow Fun, the flatbread, the Pad See Ew!! All so good!“
“We came in tonight with some friends and the food is AMAZING! The staff and Louis the manager were exceptional! The best customer service! I’ve been to so many taco spots around town and this is hands down the best in town! Delicious, fresh and made to order. The flavors are awesome. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Omg like I was a bit nervous about this place but let me tell you. You don’t wanna miss the opportunity to come here. It’s fantastic. Food is beyond amazing and definitely worth it. Drinks are on point. The vibe love it. It’s was definitely a night shift will never remember. Our waitress Michelle was beyond impressive she was on top of it and made the night fun and enjoyable.“
“Honestly, whether in house or to go, best chicken teriyaki in town. Definitely a must try if looking for chicken teriyaki bowls. My only wish is that they had a scale for spiciness. Asking for them to make it spicy is very chef dependent and usually not enough for what I’m looking for.Parking: I’ve never had an issue finding a parking spot, though sometimes the line at Starbucks interferes with getting into the lot from the north side.“
“I was traveling with two college soccer teams totally 50 people. I called ahead to let them know we were coming. We arrived at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. They took our order and had our teriyaki bowls out to us so quickly! Fast, friendly service. We will be back again. I would highly recommend them!“
“To start off with, the atmosphere is very pleasant. A have a few light sensitive family members and they commented on how nice and warm the lighting was. The staff was friendly and prompt. The walnut shrimp and the orange chicken are a must there. Best we've ever had. Just the texture alone was impressive. Perfectly crispy even in the delicious sauce. They made sure we had fresh hot rice with those two dishes. A small annoyance I have is when you get a pot of tea at a restaurant and so many times the tea goes from too hot to drink while waiting for it to brew and then it's barely luke warm by the time it's strong enough to drink. This tea was hot from beginning to end. We were all very happy with the rolls as well. The amount of options is almost overwhelming. Everything we got was so good. I felt like there was more variety than some other sushi places I've been to. Even the sauces on the sushi were above many of the places we've been to. Overall a fantastic experience and we will absolutely be back.“
“This is our favorite place! The food is always amazing (chicken katsu is my favorite) and the service great for us every time. The cashier is a quiet man, but an honest one. One time I had $300 fall from my wallet and didn't notice until later...thinking I'd lost it somewhere else I never thought when we went back two weeks later he would have saved it for us not even knowing our names but that's exactly what he did. Customers for life!Since I can't add another review I'm adding to this one...we simple love this place! We went to Hawaii last year and I had to try the chicken katsu there since that's my go to at CK, and it wasn't as good. We've got the best in Idaho in my opinion, and no matter how long between our visits the owner always remembers us and is so warm and welcoming. Still customers for life!“
“How have I not rated my number one top food in the valley!! Such a delicious combination of food and so many options for protein or you can go vegetables only too. I'm only able to hit about a 5 or 6 for the sauce but love the Ugly Bop the best. Mondu is my favorite side. Can't wait for the to open out in southwest Boise.Vegetarian options: Protein or not, rice, cabbage, sweet potato noodles. It's all good.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are wide and easy to request. Make sure to ask for your sauce on the side and ask for them to ensure they make it gluten free. There the one suace they use on the regular noodles so they have the gluten free version available!“
