Alavita is perhaps the most enjoyable environment for a very nice meal. From the front desk to the service personnel to the bartender and to the food, the entire experience is presented very exquisitely, professionally and friendly. I've enjoyed meals in NY, Chicago, Atlanta, SFO, LAX, Portland and Seattle, and I can honestly say that Alavita ranks near, if not at the top, of my favorite spots. Relax, have fun and enjoy a fabulous meal !!---you'll not go wrong.

The Caeser salad was not fresh. It was premade and the lettuce was very wilted. It's like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for a while. Everything else was fine. The pasta never seems al dente. Every time I go there it doesn't seem cooked enough. It's happened on multiple occasions. The staff, however, and the ambiance is always great.

From the time I stepped into the restaurant o was greeted and seated timely. Morgan my server was amazing and suggested items and let me know what was chef's choice. The service, food and overall experience was top notch! Carrie the manager was amazing and checked on me to make sure my needs were met! This will be my place to eat the next time I come back to Boise!

Fantastic! I was super impressed with the whole place. Our waitress was fantastic. Not only was she good at keeping drinks topped off, but she kept our place cleared and checked on us regularly. All the staff is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. This is the best italian food I've had in the valley! Highly recommend if you want a good food

We absolutely LOVE coming to ALAVITA! This time it was a little off though. I usually order the risotto (which is almost ALWAYS perfect) I added prawns as a protein with it and they came out pretty chard which was actually gross. There was 3 of them. I cut off the blackened bits and left them on the side of my bowl because I didn't want that bite to take away from the wonderful taste of the risotto. My fiancé wanted bruschetta which could be substituted for a caprese salad with a side of toasted bread but the server just said no they couldn't make anything like that. But then when it was time to order he said that the caprese salad was a special for the night!?! My favorite part is the wine. Luca Pinot Noir is wonderful!!! Especially with the Budino. Pairs wonderfully together! We will be back as this is our favorite place. Even came with our family and friends for our engagement dinner. Maybe we just needed a different server? Sorry, not sorry. Here's to hoping next visit will be different. Ps our server DID do a great job at opening the bottle of wine and presentation. WHICH my fiancé is very critical about. So kudos to that!

We had never been there before, and it was definitely the best Italian food I have ever eaten. I am gluten free and was thrilled with the number of options available. My husband raved about the salad dressing, we both thoroughly enjoyed our wine, and the gelato was the perfect ending. Our waitress/bartender added to the evening. We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place. The only (minor) negative was the noise from the bar, but I realize that's unavoidable in a small space.

Overall a good meal. We have eaten there in the past and I have to say this experience was moderate compared to other visits. Again the food was good and the people friendly but they missed the mark of a 5 star experience. I would however be back tomorrow for another chance :)

Please visit Alavita and order: The Burrata and the Tagliatelle. It will enhance your life. And if she is working, request Mikaela—an absolute queen when it comes to service. She will steer you in the right direction, and as a bonus is also a fan of Mezcal—which means by definition, she has superior taste. Can't wait for our next visit.
All the pasta is made from scratch. Excellent flavors, nice variety of menu options, service was great.

I cannot believe that it has taken us so long to try Alavita. We have lived here since 2013 and last night was our very first time. Mary was our waitress and she was phenomenal. We will keep coming back and brining friends. Loved everything about it!

A limited menu of dishes that were well crafted and delicious. The selection of appetizers provided unique choices. Whipped feta was something I had never considered but am very happy we ordered it. The addition of the jelly with it was fabulous! The atmosphere is just perfect for downtown Boise!
