I will caveat this with my review has no reflection of the staff as I purchased Amaru's goods resale through another vendor. I will say that on multiple occasions, I found the quality, taste, and form of the 'cina-saint' cinnamon roll to be hands down the best I've encountered in my lifetime. I drove from Eagle to the North End to enjoy them. So much so, that I had to inquire multiple times baristas at the coffee shop to ascertain where they were sourced. It ruined all other cinnamon rolls for me. It ruined all other frosting for me. Now that I know what one can taste like, everything else just feels... disappointing. I dreamed about these stupid things! Will certainly be stopping by and likely trying a cake for my wife's birthday and will report back on our experiences there - but if nothing else, get the cinnamon roll! It is life changing!

This experience was all around very disappointing. I truly thought my cake tasting was scheduled for 2:30, but it was actually at 2. TOTALLY MY FAULT. So I arrived at 2:16, (thinking I was early), said we were there for a tasting, and she was immediately annoyed and had an attitude while informing me that I was late. I was, of course, confused and disappointed as I thought the appointment started at 2:30. Despite this, I remained very nice and only tried to clarify the situation and understand what had happened. She treated me like I was not worth her time and rushed me to reschedule. I plan to move out of state soon, so it was not an option for me to reschedule, but I didn’t bother to explain since she seemed less than understanding in that moment. Despite being the only customers there (my sister and I) and having over 40 minutes left in our time slot, the staff member refused to let us taste the samples, citing preparations were being made for the next appointment at 3. Each business has its process, so I understand. Without the employee offering it as an option, my sister asked if we could take the cakes to go, and she packed the sample cakes up for us. After taking the cakes home and sampling them, I would say they were less than impressive, but the lemon cake was actually FANTASTIC. However, considering the high price points, less than impressive cake, unnecessary rude behavior and a general lack of customer service, I do not plan to use this bakery for my wedding, nor will I recommend them. Like I said, it is my fault that the times got confused, but the response from the company was what really rubbed me the wrong way. I am certain my small wedding cake order does not mean much to this seemingly successful business lol. But good customer service can go a long way…

Small little bakery on the Boise bench. They have lots of cupcake options. Lots of different flavors and lots of different restrictions (such as gluten-free). The cupcakes are great and the buttercream frosting is excellent! Stop by and grab a cupcake.

Buyer beware!! After ordering a cake from this company, Amaru Confections, two weeks in advance I had to wait in their parking lot for over an hour and a half! Then when Ingot the cake, no apologies or anything! Needed the cake by a certain time and it was late because of them. The WORST part was that two of my employees found stick pins INSIDE THE CAKE! They won't return my phone calls. Had to throw away the cake due to the worrying that more would be in there! Spent A LOT of money on this nightmare! Please be careful OF you choose to buy cakes from this place!

Ordered my cake for a Christmas party two weeks in advance. Needed it by noon on the 15th. I went to go pick it up at my scheduled time of 1030am and it wasn’t finished until noon. The person in there was extremely rude! I wasn't pleasant with them having to wait so long in their parking lot I really am convinced that they did what is in the next paragraph on purpose. Please be careful when buying ANYTHING from this company.DISCLAIMER….beware of these cakes! When one of my employees was taking a bite of their cake a STICK PIN went up into the roof of his mouth! Then another employee found another stick pin! He didn’t have it in his mouth he was looking for it before he took a bite and found it!I have tried to contact this company and they will not return my calls. Shame on you Amaru! Horrible service and a DANGER to my employees and the children! I had to throw the cake out worried there were more pins!Buyer BEWARE IF THIS PLACE!!! This is a HUGE danger to so many people.

We got a vegan cake for my daughter's first birthday because she has milk and soy allergies. I'm not vegan personally, so I've had plenty of "regular" cake, and I never would have known the difference. Amaru's cake was delicious and super moist. The raspberry puree was the best I've had. Above all, I was really happy to be able to get my baby girl a great cake for her first birthday in spite of her allergies. It meant a lot to fully include her, as well as some vegan and gluten free guests (we got cupcakes for them too).
