Ansots is different. It has weird hours, a kind of cafeteria feel, but damn the food is good. Everything is small batch and very fresh. The croquettes are insane. I try to get something different every time I come and it’s always exceeded my expectations.

Tucked away inside the building, Ansots provides a warm cozy atmosphere to enjoy their Basque menu. You will want to enter via the small staircase at the North end of Wiseguy’s outdoor patio, the location is fairly impossible to see from the street.I had the Txistorra Bocadillo which came on a soft but chewy roll. The roll was fantastic with the sausage and cooked veggies being a wee bit boring. The bread was the highlight here.Spendy for a lunch spot, but everything is made in house so I guess that’s what you can expect these days.

I had the garbanzo bean and chorizo soup. It was very hearty and wonderfully filling. Three pieces of bread and a large bowl of soup is a bargain at $8! I'll definitely bring the family and come back!Parking: 19 paid spaces
