I really want to like this place. The atmosphere is fun and lively and there are a lot of options. But every time I go in, the food itself is just—meh. They use too much mayo in their dressings for my taste and the pastries and other items don't always taste like they are fresh-made. This place is so close to being terrific, but like much of the food scene in Boise, it comes up short on flavor and dependable freshness. The employees are snarky.
A’tavola is such an amazing place to stop by! Their food is so good; the pastries are delicious, the coffee is just perfect and the breakfast is phenomenal.
This time, I had the avocado toast and it’s by far one of the best I have ever had. The quality of the bread is just so good and it tastes so fresh!

I don’t think egg and leaves go together. The warm egg doesn’t really pair with fresh crispy lettuce. That being said, the sauce complimented the sweetness of the jalapeños and the egg was fluffy. The fruit on the side was nice and light. The other option was a light salad. I don’t want a salad for breakfast...
