Incredible vibe, food, drinks, staff, and overall atmosphere. Went here for a spontaneous date night and it was so fun! Our servers, Nick and Hailey, were so attentive and kind- they deserve a raise! Thanks for such a great experience, we’ll be back!☺️

We used to love Barrio for the fun atmosphere and craft margaritas, but the last few visits have been disappointing. Tonight we sat for well over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us—despite a full staff and a mostly empty restaurant. No water, no greeting, nothing. We ended up leaving and walking to The Tavern instead for their consistent great food and service. We’re genuinely bummed because we live nearby and love supporting East Boise businesses, but it feels like the service at Barrio just isn’t what it used to be.

I consider 5 stars someplace people are falling all over you to make sure every imaginable thing is taken care of, they speak a foreign language and it costs you way to much.
But Barrio was really good. Good food, good atmosphere and a good drink I didn’t have to take a loan out to have.
Try the Quesabirria beef tacos, really good best food I’ve had out in a while. Not a ton of food but it as what I was looking for.
The blood red margarita is delicious according to my wife and she had the Tex-mex egg rolls which she really liked.
On our next visit I discovered that Barrio is a little confusing. We had at least four people take our order, deliver drink or food and ask if we needed anything else. Like there wasn’t one person serving your table, which may not be bad but it appears random. The drinks take for ever to get to you and I mean if you think you want another, order it when the first one comes. Then this time the quesabarrio tacos came with no chips when the first time they did.

Nice place. Would make it part of the rotation if I lived closer to Bown Crossing. They do a good job with the birria. Friendly service

Staff was very rude. I was standing waiting for a table and no one greeted me.

If you like margaritas and tacos, do not sit on the patio, you will not be served. Wish I could have reviewed the food but I’m not waiting 30+ minutes to order street tacos.

We’ve been coming here since they opened. Most visits have been good: tasty cocktails, great bartender, mostly friendly staff and good food. But my issue with this place is the management, not the staff. They don’t staff up for busy hours, resulting in really slow service. For example, waiting 10+ minutes for any service like water or acknowledgment we’re even on the patio (it’s spring, beautiful and 70F outside). And I can count 2-3 visits that featured really messed up checks (ALWAYS verify your bill before payment here). They make good on it if you’re persistent, but man, it really kills the experience. Toast POS is not that hard! My wife thinks I’m being very generous for this review, so take it for what it’s worth.

If I could give this place a 100 star I would .. from the food, the way it looks, the staff each and every last one of them were so accommodating! The food was amazing and I don’t usually eat Hispanic food . All the tables were clean and the ladies worked hard to make sure my space and everyone else who was there soace was clean . One of the best bars I’ve visited in Boise . 20/10 I’d recommend this to anybody

We had the most horrible experience ever at this establishment last night. The place was extremely busy and when we arrived there were several people standing in front of the door. We read the sign and talked to very nice locals who explained how the seating worked. We went to the bar and ordered drinks. The bar tender was extremely friendly and the drinks were great. The problem was with one of the waiters who told us after we had been there for almost an hour that there were not going to be any tables available for us (group of five). He said we could not stand there anymore, as it was breaking fire codes. The whole time we were there there had been others standing in the same place. We were not blocking the entrance and people were able to come in and out. There were others standing right where we were standing. This waiter did not speak to any of them. He told us to leave and tried to take our drinks from us. Never have we been treated so rudely and we have traveled and dined in many restaurants.

6 small tacos around $50. Insane. Will never go back.
Website said they’re not accepting orders and a phone call went unanswered. They’re either understaffed or unprofessional. I was there a year ago and the food was good but it was spendy.
