My wife and I travel across the country often and we try to find independent breweries to support. What a fantastic experience! Our dog (Tater) was welcomed on the patio and they made an IPA with TATERS! We are also potato farmers, so obviously we were excited to try this IPA. Beth was so welcoming and I cannot recommend this brewery more. We are on our way home (Mt Hood, OR) but will definitely be back.
Bear Island Brewing is always a must-stop for me whenever I’m in Boise! All the beers Ive tried are top-notch, and the Idaho Potato Ale is hands-down my favorite; super smooth and full of flavor. You can tell they put a lot of pride and creativity into everything they brew. The vibe is always friendly and relaxed, and the staff make you feel right at home. If you’re in Boise and love good beer, you’ve gotta stop by Bear Island!
Great little place. The crew seems to love the craft, and why they do what they do. Mason was an awesome rep for the brews. First thing is asked it what I liked so he could point me in the right direction. Their foundational brews are good and well done. Their specialties show a lot of good complexities while being super accessible. If you’re passing through, or spending some time in Boise, check them out. If you go while Mason if working give him plenty of love, dude works...
