I went in to buy a part for my son's bike (never again) I asked for a derailure that's for a 7 speed rear gear set the guy insisted I would be better off bringing the bike so he could install the part
Obviously bicycle technology is beyond grasp I could see him getting visibly frustrated that I didn't want to pay him for a service my 10 year old son can perform

Really bummed this place wasn’t what I hoped it was. Tried for the first time, friendly service and good coffee, but the prices are seriously off from the valley’s top coffee shops. A latte is $5.50, oat milk is an extra $1.50 (way more than others!), 2 of the 3 espresso beans are an extra $1 charge (and the one that wasn’t an extra charge wasn’t available). Comes out to almost $9 for oat milk latte. Quality didn’t justify the price unfortunately.

$9.30 for a 12oz oat milk latte with vanilla is insane. Not worth the price. The guy working didn’t know what a flat white was and my partner had to describe it to him (we ended up not getting the flat white because two drinks total came to $17.80). My latte was originally made with regular milk and he did compensate by making it again with oat milk. Cool idea but not worth the hype considering the prices.

Fantastic local business! Really cool idea for a bike/coffee shop. I was having trouble with an ebike I bought directly from the manufacturer; I needed a part that was damaged during the replacement of another part and after two weeks of trying to just get a response out of the manufacturer (A US company btw) I gave up and checked this place out in the off chance they'd have this very proprietary part for a bike that has since been discontinued. They didn't have the replacement part, BUT they were able to fix the existing part and give me some very helpful tips in the future. And they didn't even mock me for the stupid way I damaged the part (which I halfway expected), not to my face at least :). They were very friendly and super helpful. I'll be replacing this POS ebike I've got now and Bikes and Beans will absolutely be the place I buy the replacement, and probably that new mountain bike I've had my eyes on.

I take my commuter bike here for regular service/maintenance and repairs. This is a local/small business. They take the time to thoroughly check your bike and explain everything to you. The coffee shop has excellent coffee too; nice spot to enjoy a coffee and peruse the bikes.

Andrew also helped me load my bike into my car, showing me a much more efficient way to load it than what I was previously doing. I really appreciated his help, particularly because I have a shoulder injury and lifting my bike is difficult right now. I will continue to support this awesome shop; I am lucky it’s in my neighborhood.

I came here for the coffee, and I can appreciate the bike shop vibe. It's a neat idea. The espresso (mocha) was great, but I was bummed that the only way the shop offers half-caf drinks is by paying an additional $4 per double shot of espresso... so the drink total was going to be over $9 for a 12 oz. double shot (1 regular, 1 decaf). I believe the roasters are located in Portland... and many, if not all, of the fancy coffee shops I have been to in Portland offer half-caf for no additional charge. I can completely understand needing to pay an upcharge for having to pull two separate shots, but more than $4 seems a bit excessive. I would assume other customers have wanted to add espresso shots to their drinks too, which would total their drink price to over $9 as well. I have yet to go to a coffee shop that doesn't offer triple shot drinks and/or charges $2 extra per shot. That said, Bikes and Beans offers good quality espresso/coffee drinks...I just wish it was a tad more affordable/accommodating.

I had to get a dropper post replaced on my bike so I left it with these lovely people. It seemed to be taking a long time so I checked in about it. I learned that the owner had been in communication with the company who no longer made the part. He went back and forth with the company until he finally was able to get it warrantied for a brand new dropper post. Even though it took longer than expected, I was amazed by the owners dedication to help me get what I needed. Overall working with the staff was always a good experience. I highly recommend them and I will definitely be going to Bikes And Beans for all my future bike needs.

It’s only the best coffee shop in Boise. Staff are awesome and the coffee is top notch. Also have used them for a bike tune up. Seating space is comfy.

Such a great place! Stopped by from the airport on the way to Ketchum for a bikepacking trip. They were really helpful, kind, and had great coffee. Stopped by again before heading out of town.

B&B curates a great experience in every aspect of their service and intended vibe. The bike techs are quick and friendly and the baristas make magic with their quality coffee offerings. There's more seating than one would assume which makes it a perfect place to study or work.

Order: Decaf pourover 10/10, Mocha Hot 10/10.

High quality fresh coffee. Chill vibe. First time in Boise, and I had to spend ~3hrs waiting for my next event, and I was very comfortable here. It was <10min bus ride from Boise airport.

Thank you, Bikes and Beans!

Great coffee!! I appreciate how meticulously the coffee is selected and brewed. I can’t speak to their bike services.
