California Mexican Food | Boise

I recently visited California Mexican Food at their Fairview Avenue location and was thoroughly impressed by both the value and efficiency. The menu features an extensive variety of classic options, and the portion sizes are exceptionally generous.

I ordered the California Burrito and the Carne Asada Fries. Both dishes were served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The steak was well seasoned, and the combination of ingredients was well-executed. Another major highlight is their self serve salsa bar, which is kept clean and features a great variety of fresh salsas and pickled vegetables to customize your meal.

The customer service was polite and incredibly fast, which is notable given how consistently busy the drive-thru can get. Combined with their convenient 24/7 operating hours, this is easily one of the best spots in Boise for a good quality, quick bite at any time of day. I highly recommend checking them out.

The carne asada was a bit bland in flavor. Portions are big, staff was great. You can only order tacos from the trucks outside, so you have to wait in line twice

We stopped coming here so often because they raised their prices significantly from last year, but not many options open so late so we decided to eat here tonight. The food is good but the portion is absolutely ridiculous. Majorly disappointed by the fact that we paid $15 for the supreme nachos and received maybe 10 chips with it. I was here last month and we received double the amount of food.. They should really check for consistency with their kitchen staff... The portion we received tonight is definitely not worth $15.. Looks like a kids sized portion. Probably won't be back for awhile if at all. :(

Delicious! Huge burritos! My family is hard to please and they were all stuffed. Had the Cali burrito, fajita burrito and bacon egg. I tried them all and loved them all

Food is not great at all I wouldn’t call it Mexican food. I ordered a torta and it was all bread with a lot of pico de gallo and about a taco worth of meat. No meat at all not worth it

The customer services is not good they was trying to fight with me I just literally asked for food

Food is very bland and potatoes in the breakfast burritos are deep fried so not only is it bland, the burrito ends up tasting like grease. If youre going to put fried potatoes in a burrito, just give me tots or fries, not cut up potatoes.
