We were lucky to find this not-too-busy, but perfectly delicious pizza place. It made a great casual date night. Parking available behind the restaurant. Their small salad makes a perfect appetizer for two.

I had the Neapolitan pizza. It was pretty good. There could have been a little more cheese. The crust and sauce were respectable: not the breads crust or dry, under-sauced pizzas you find in a lot of places. The seasoning was good. A tad more oregano would have been good, and a drizzle of olive oil to wake it up.
Now, what is a “Napoli pizza”? I’m used to that having sauce, mozzarella, anchovies, capers (brined not pickled), and black olives (petit niçoise, cortina, gaeta, or as an absolute last resort kalamata but never black cocktail olives like you find in nachos… those are nasty).
Alas this had neither olives nor capers.
Oregano, olive oil, and chili flakes are standard condiments at pizzerias out East. Not so much in Idaho (shout out to Lulu’s for getting that right).

Great pizza, but it's a little pricey.

Pretty decent sized pie for the price and quite delicious! Not much seating tho unfortunately. The staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I'll definitely be back!

A most excellent Neapolitan-style pizzeria that dishes up amazing thin-crust pies. It's worth finding and definitely worth eating, no one will be disappointed.

We walked in about 8pm for our first time. We were greeted and seated by a very nice lady, turns out her shift had ended but she was great and very helpful. She brought us 2 very cold drafts and turned us over to Justin who was extremely kind. There were several families and it appeared they were all getting the same great attention. Not a frown in the place. We ordered our pizza to go and since we still had part of our beverages they kept the box in the oven to stay hot. Justin had a minute and joined us at our table and a lady (I think the owner) was checking on all of the tables and very engaged with the patrons. She shared the drawings of their patio concepts and it will truly be a destination for us in the future. When it came time for us to go, we had a few bites of our fresh Garlic Chicken pizza. Large fresh garlic cloves, generous amounts of chicken, cheese and the crust was perfect. A creamy garlic sauce on the side for dipping was just right.
We highly recommend Casanova Pizzeria and the top tier crew!!! Thank you for making our night!

Diamond in the Rough

Pros:
- Great pizza and sandwiches (get the meatball!)
- Very fair prices
- if you’re indecisive like me, they let you order half and half pizzas to try out the menu
- traditional and eclectic pizzas. Medusa and good ole margarita are my favorite.

Family owned with personable staff
- The owner is always here, checking on customers, engaging, etc.

Love the bar seating for “Cheers” feeling or dining single but has plenty of booths/tables for family, friends or networking events.

Con’s:
I honestly don’t have one.
Their location I think hurts the business bc it’s not downtown but it’s MINUTES from downtown and perfect for West End. Great food, people and prices.

Neapolitan pizza is not supposed to be casserole. The thin crust does not support piling on toppings in layers like a deep dish - the toppings don't cook correctly, the crust doesn't cook correctly, you end up with soggy middles and pizza you have to eat with a fork. Our pizza had no structure at all, it flopped straight down 90 degrees and dumped all of the toppings if you tried to eat it like pizza. The Comet also was served with big handfuls of raw garlic - I love garlic, but it has to be cut small enough to cook, and these were big raw chunks. Nothing really got cooked correctly - the Basque was swimming in pepper water, the Comet ingredients were very undercooked, the Capricciosa might as well have been a salad.

This is unfortunate, because the ingredients themselves seemed good quality, the recipes were inventive. The dough seemed good from the chew on the crust, and the outer crust had a nice char on it, but it was soaked wherever toppings were. This doesn't seem like a "recipe" problem, it seems like a kitchen problem - they just need to have a lighter touch with ingredients and cut them to size to actually get cooked in the right amount of time.

Our server was delightful, the dining area had a clean, modern look to it, with an enjoyable "vibe". You go to a pizzeria for the pizza, though, and it's going to be a while before I give Casanova another try.
